Can’t believe I’m actually writing my story from my op day seems so surreal that I have boobies!! These posts helped me so much when I was pre op so hope this helps someone 🙂
I had 400cc uhp from a 34aa and also had sizes 375 and 350 ordered as Mr mounir wasn’t sure I would fit 400cc in my smaller boob (I have chest wall asymmetry) and also thought he may have to use two different sizes to balance my boobs out but wouldn’t know till the day.
My admission time was 1pm and me and my friend travelled from nottingham and left at 10am and arrived early at 12.30. We went inside and straight away was shown to my room (room 5) and asked to put on my gown and those very unflattering pants and that someone would be back to admit me. At 1.05ish the nurse came in and checked my blood pressure, temp, measured me for my stockings and asked the usual questions. Not long after the ward doctor came in and pretty much asked me the same questions and listened to my chest and back.. not sure what he was checking for or why but I didn’t ask lol. It was then a little wait until the anaesthetist came to see me and pretty much asked the same questions I’d already been asked and then Mr Mounir came to see me. He’s as lovely on surgery day as he is in the clinics! Having a laugh and a joke and a chit chat with my friend as she has also recently had her boobs done and he was answering her questions about her boobs even though he wasn’t her surgeon. He drew on me and wrote 375? On my bigger boob and 400? On my smaller boob as he still wasn’t sure if 400cc would go in my smaller boob and if he needed to use different sizes. As he did at my consultation he asked to look at my bum and said I had good projection in my bum and could carry the 400s haha! He left and shout an hour/hour and a half later a nurse came to see me to fit my cannula which even though I’ve had one before I was really scared of and as I already knew it was nothing to be scared of.. tiny scratch and it was all in. She then put some salt water i think in the cannula which i felt for a second ij my hand then my elbow. She then left and said she’d be back for me in about 20 mins to which I then rang my mum and bf telling them lol. 15 mins later she came back and walked me down to theatre to a room where I took off my dressing gown and slippers and sat on a bed whilst she put on some sticky pads on my back and a blood pressure cuff on my arm and I laid down on the bed. My mind then went crazy and I was shaking on the bed thinking what the hell am I putting myself through this for?!?! The anaesthetist then came through and told me what he was going to do and said it’s going to feel like when your out having cocktails and your having that extra one cocktail that you probably shouldn’t be having. I was then wheeled into theatre and again seeing the equipment and lights sent my heart racing but everyone was so lovely and calming and a lovely lady in there held my hand. They attached me to the drips and held the mask over my mouth and told me to take deep breaths and the anaesthesist said this is that extra cocktail now and told me to open my eyes… I did and looked at the clock and seen 04:07 and then next thing I’m waking up.. it’s that quick!! Woke up with a lady telling me I’m all done and to have a look at my boobs and the mr mounir popped his head in and said we got 400cc in both boobs! I was over the moon! I then was shaking like a drug addict which apparently is normal and they wrapped me up and wheeled me back to my room. I had no pain just stinging incisions which the nurse told me would wear off which it did after an hour. I honestly felt fab just a bit weird as I was still on drip and I’m a bit funny about stuff like that lol. I was back in my room at 5.20 and after having tea and toast was pretty much up and about wanting to get home. They let me leave a little earlier than they should and I left just before 8pm with my antibiotics and cocodomol. My recovery so far has been a breeze I went out for breakfast this morning. I’m sure I’ve got a lot to come as my op was only yesterday lol but think I’m on abit of a high that I have boobs lol!
To any girls who are nervous like I was pre op it really is a walk in the park but it’s also normal to be nervous! Would recommend Mr Mounir to everyone he’s such a fab surgeon and I think I’m a little in love with him haha! Tried to post pictures before but it says the files too big so will try again if not feel free to add me xx
Omg sorry for the seriously long post ladies haha didn’t realise x
@corran2510 Brilliant read, made me feel so much better about what to expect as I have Dr Mounir on 8th June! If you don’t mind me asking did you go under or over the muscle? Happy healing 🙂 xx
@constance1993 he’s so lovely hun your in safe hands with him! He will do his best for you I’d do it all over again with him. I’m terrified of needles and hospitals and found the day a breeze everyone at the hospital is so nice and can’t do enough for you. I had unders xx
@corran2510 I really like him but Im having difficulty choosing between under or over! Did Mounir give you advice as to what would look best on you? I was just told it was up to me, not sure if that means I could get away with either but I’m only a 32a so don’t know if this is enough natural breast tissue for overs :/. Im so confused haha xx
@constance1993 he didn’t give me an option he told me unders only as I had no breast tissue at all. I think that’s good you’ve got the option of overs or unders.. research the pros and cons of each and see which suits you best. Mr Mounir was speaking to my friend on the day of my op as she’s wanted more of a cleavage from her BA and he told her you get more cleavage with overs than you do with unders and I think it’s less risk of rippling with unders xx
@corran2510 yeah I think he mentioned something about cohesive 1 and 2 for if I go over to help prevent rippling too.. and cleavage is quite important to me lol. But then again I don’t want it to look too “fake” haha, thanks for all your advice though, you’ve really helped!! xx
