Hi Everyone,
Just thought id share my experience with everyone as I always like to read all your journeys.
So I had my Op yesterday at Preston with Mr Traynor.. Admission time was 2pm.. So wasn’t allowed to eat from 8am, had my breakfast and a coffee.. but didn’t read up properly that I could still drink water upto two hours before ???? so went all day without anything.
I received a call around 11am to say ive been moved to 4pm.. I was a bit gutted but it saved me waiting when I got there.. Arrived 5 minutes before as the road is closed where the sat nav takes you so had to take a diversion and it was complicated so anyone having their Op in Preston needs to set off at least half an hour earlier and take the diversion.
I was quickly shown to my room where I was told there was a further wait for two hours.. So I didn’t go down to theatre till 6pm.. all the staff are lovely by the way. I arrived back in my room at 7.30pm.. couldn’t eat straight away as I don’t recover well from the anaesthetic so I didn’t eat till 8.30pm and it was the best tasting Jam on toast id ever eaten lol..
I didnt feel in alot of pain, had movement in my arms, just a stinging feeling where the incisions were but ended up on a drip as I was dehydrated and still drowsy so had to stay over night which I was happy about as I knew I was in the best place and I could get some sleep.
I was woken up at 6.30am sharp and discharged and told I need to be out for 10am which I was a bit shocked at but il be happy to get in my own bed 🙂
Oh and I was allowed to keep my acrylics on too ???? as id just got back off holiday I didn’t have time to get them removed so I phoned up and she said it was fine x
So I Absolutely love my new boobies.. il upload before and after pics, and feel free to ask any questions xxx
If you use photo collage on your phone it cuts down the file size of the picture so that you can upload it x
Aww thanks Laura.. Sat here uploading 15 times lol x
I did same last week lol used that an it uploaded first time x
It works for me by doing that so not sure why its not for you? I just put them onto photo collage save the image then go into gallery and crop if it needs cropping, then come back on here to find the image an upload. So frustrating though x
@yvonne thanks for letting me add you as a friend, I’m interested to see your progress as I weigh similar to you, your just a bit taller but I’m also having 450-470cc extra high profile overs so fairly similar to me. I hope you can manage to upload the pics, it would be great to see a before and after of them! xxx

Katie.. No problem hun x Hopefully you can see my pics now.. xx
Looking fab! I’ve added you as a friend. Hope you don’t mind. I’m planning 400/ 450cc overs in November so interested to follow your progress xx happy healing
Looking great already, hope you have a good recovery xx
Of course hun no problem xx
Il keep posting pics of the changes xx
Thanks Laura just hope this sickness goes away .. pain is just like a tight feeling at the minute.. feels better soon as they put the bra on.. Sleeping was difficult as I sleep in my side as I suffer with back pain so ive got pillows everywhere.. Ive got a V pillow too which is a god send xx
Awh sorry to hear you have suffered with sickness it cant be nice with your chest being so tight. Seen alot that have suffered with it thats one thing im hoping not to get as my surgeon doesnt use general anesthetic he does it under twighlight sedation so you just come around as soon as they inject you to reverse the sedation an your not drowsy or sicky usually leave within an hour of coming round so fingers crossed lol. Im a side sleeper too so dont know how i will manage sleeping on my back. How long have you been told to sleep on your back for? Each surgeon says different things xx
Ive never even heard of twighlight sedation so I hope it works for you hun because the sickness is worse than the pain 🙁
I managed to get some anti sickness tablets yesterday which have eased it slightly x
Im not sure how long to sleep on my back but to sleep on my side would be too painful at the minute. Im not sure if my bra is too tight aswell as I feel like my scars are stinging.. ive got another one which isnt as supportive what ive put underneath to ease a bit of the pain. I got a 34D so thinking maybe I need a DD.. xx
Its meant to be really good but i just hope im asleep lol you have to be strapped down to the bed incase you try to roll over usually dont remember anything from it at all but i saw one lady on here who saw everything an remembered it! No pain an really calm because you are sedated but still i dont want to see that! Quite unusual for that to happen i think though. Glad that your sickness is easing off for you. An yeah maybe they have swelled up more now so maybe you need the next size up for a while xx
I would be interested to see progress, your ‘before’ boobs are literally just like mine! I think I really want overs if possible and got my surgeon consultation on Wednesday 🙂 eek super excited!!
Oh my god Laura I would die if I saw everything ???? you will be in safe hands not long for you now xx Think im going to get a bigger one ordered to ease the pain, I keep unzipping it and it feels amazing.. my ribs feel bruised too x
Hi Kerrie, Where are you having your surgery? im glad I had overs as I heard the recovery on unders is more painful and this pain is enough for me xx
Hi Yvonne, it will be at Preston! My friend said she would rather give birth again so I am thinking of the worst pain wise and anything less will be a bonus haha .. you must be chuffed they look fab, I keep thinking 450 is massive but when I see them on other people I love them 🙂
Yeah I think id rather give birth too if im honest.. Feel like im struggling to breath ????Ive woke up this morning and see a bit of blood on my plasters so im in panic mode ???? So happy I had 450’s x Il upload another pic as they look so different from the first one xx
What a difference in 3 days! An they look so good already so can only get better as they fluff an drop! Im not liking seeing people say they would rather give birth though haha dreading it lol xx
I know I love them ???? but woke up this morning and spotted a bit of blood on my bandages so im worrying and thinking should I phone the nurse ????
Ive got quite a high pain threshold and I loved giving birth (weirdo I know) but these are killing my back already! I feel like my whole body has been stretched, even my neck feels tight! Sleeping on my back is even worse I just can’t get comfy and not to mention these frigging stockings!!! lol x
Hiya Yvonne don’t worry this is normal they’ll probably go alot worse than that one spot within the next week mine were disgusting but my nurse told me aslong as they weren’t pouring out then normal leakage is acceptable you will probably notice most of the bandage covered over the next few days don’t panic if it was bleeding out everywhere then your bandages won’t be able to stop them from leaking so if it that happens then call the nurse if it is contained within your plasters don’t worry it’s not nice but it’s your body healing; also as for sleeping on your back sat up it took me 2 and half weeks before I even got in bed and sleep on my back but this differs between women and I’m now 4 weeks today and can sleep on my side finally it’s like heaven good luck in your recovery and any questions don’t hesitate to ask xx
Aww thanks so much Charlie.. Love your boobies they look amazing!! Don’t think I prepared myself for what happens afterwards.. Tried to not look into it too much as I panic over the littlest thing. Good job my cousin is a nurse ive got her on speed dial at the minute lol x
Glad this forum is available its so helpful and reassuring xxx
