    Hi Ladies,

My op was on 7th November at Fitzroy with Dr. Linda Fiumara and I had 325(l) & 350(r) HP, round, submuscular and have chest wall asymmetry. This is my journey since my last post at 7DPO.

I’ve also got an Instagram page which you’re welcome to follow but please message me first so I know who you are http://www.instagram.com/mya.ba.2016

    Week 2:
I was a little way off from feeling back to normal as I had a small amount of bloating and aching in my upper back and chest muscles.

I worked from home and although I could have returned to work (office based), driving was another matter. I couldn’t get my car into reverse or fifth gear easily and it took some getting used to, even now fifth gear is still a bit weird but the more you do it the easier it becomes.

Mobility in my arms was still reduced and towards the end of the week I decided to try on about five tops. I found it difficult at the time and I ended up regretting it as that night I woke up in pain similar to my first few days PO. I took one paracetamol thinking it would do the trick but I was wrong so ended up having to take something stronger.

    Week 3:
Bloating and all muscle aches had gone and I feel pretty much back to normal. I still wake up with morning boob (aching boobs) but it goes pretty quickly. I still can’t fully extend my arms straight up above my head but I’m regularly doing gentle stretches to help.

Since the beginning of my journey my breasts have been, and still are, pretty numb from the nipple and below but my left more so than my right. I have pretty much got all the feeling in my right nipple and just the bottom of my left one is numb but both are super sensitive.

My right breast is taking longer to drop, which is normal as my right arm is my dominant. My own breast tissue has softened so there is a bit of movement but the implants are still stuck in position and are pretty firm still. They don’t feel like a part of me yet and the best way I can describe the feeling is like having a padded bra on which you just can’t take off.

My incisions are not looking as clean as others but everyone is different and patience is key. I’ve had to keep applying dressing over my incisions and today is the day I can finally stop (yay!). Today is also the day that I can finally stop wearing my breast band!

    My Result:
I can truthfully say that I’ve never once had a day where I didn’t like my boobs or the size. Sure, they have been a weird shape, wonky, different sizes and I did worry they were too big to start but that was only due to swelling and they have been slow to change at times but I’ve known that this was all temporary.

I’ve been open minded throughout this whole process, I did my research and decided to go for 25cc more than recommended by my surgeon and I’ve ended up with what I consider to be the perfect result. I didn’t want ‘big boobs’ I just wanted them to be in proportion with the rest of my body. My goal was to achieve the same look which I had pre op in a bra (which was heavily padded and too big). I’ve attached a comparison picture pre (left) and post op (right).

For any of you worried about size, consider what you would be more unhappy with; boobs bigger than you wanted or smaller? If you know the answer to this then you should be able to make your decision easily.

I’ve attached some pictures for you all, some of which are also on my profile along with others.

If you’ve got any questions just ask 🙂

    Xx

Thanks for your helpful update, I love reading these. V reassuring before going myself! I’m seeing Mr Traynor again tomorrow to see if I can get the earlier Jan date over the end (as my surgery was postponed in September due to a broken leg :-/ ). I’m thinking similar size to you- maybe a tad smaller! Xx

    Hey @lucy1987
I hope your consultation with your surgeon goes well and that you get the earlier date. I can’t imagine how difficult that must have been to mentally prepare for the op to then postpone it. Xx
