Hi all, im 5 wks post op it’s been such a tough recovery for various reasons but one being i developed over-granulation a few weeks ago i actualy thought on day one of it appearing it was dubble bubble but overnight it developed in the other, it’s been there for 3 weeks now and has cleared up allot on one side ive been trying not to focus on it and just concentrate on riding the pain out, theres been lots of days in the last 5 weeks where i have taken pics and my boobs have looked even but more days when they have looked very odd, i had a size difference before so thought i had unfortunately kept that difference but after taking some photos tonight i can see there is a big problem with the overall shape of one breast it’s also the breast that still has what was thought to be over-granulation).
I know its still early days for me but my main concern is that this doesn’t seem like one dropping quicker than the other you can see from the top of the breast they are at exactly the same height it’s at the bottom it’s bulged, ive just realised tonight this could be ‘bottoming out’
Could anybody with more knowledge than me see if thats what it looks like? Will ring my nurse first thing tomorrow and ask to be seen x
Hey Claudine hope you’re ok! It seems totally normal because I’ve been feeling the same and know other people that have!
My implant in one boob looks raised and like it’s sitting on something? The nurse said its internal swelling, totally normal and will even out … eventually!
My mate who also had the same surgeon said one of her boobs sat dead high for ages and when I looked back at the piks she had sent one of them was actually really high in comparison on all the photos she sent me! Now they’re amazing and perfectly even!!
It really is a horrible waiting game 🙁 but if you think how much we have changed in these 5 weeks, then imagine another 5 weeks 🙂
Hope you’re feeling much happier soon! They look great and it’s Deffo just part of the journey! Xxx
I would bring it up in you next appointment, at the end of the day you paid a lot of money for this so you still deserve the best. X good size though have you had a sneeky measure yet. Xx
@claudine is it your left one? If so I agree with you the shapes nothing like the other one seems something is going on above the incision area .. get it checked out asap huni xxx
Your right boob is a good shape is still sitting quite a bit higher , nipple is centered. But your left one looks like it’s way over to the left . dropping to the left a lot if u get what I mean,it’s a lot lower and nipples not centered like the other. Seems to have a different shape altogether Hun. u need to get seen Hun to get looked at instead of worrying at home Hun . Let us know what they say xxx
Hey this definitely doesn’t look right, send the pics to the nurse! Xxxxxxxxx
Hope you are okay, The sooner the nurse is aware of it the sooner they can help. Xxxxxxxx
Thankyou very much for all of your reply’s ive spoken to my new nurse today and emailed my pics to her so just waiting to hear something back, i think she will probably need to forward them to my surgeon, i have my 6 week check with her on monday so just hoping there isn’t a problem, when did all you ladies have your check up with your surgeon post op? I think it’s 12 weeks am i right? xxx
Hi Claudine
As you are already aware, it could be that things just need to settle down and you have to be patient waiting for them to drop and fluff. I think you have been very patient and trying not to panic, which is a good attitude.
Non of us are experts and we are all worrying over our own healing, we are a bunch of panic’ers. So non of us would be able to tell whether the implant is bottoming out, your nurse/surgeon needs to do that.
But looking at your picture one looks bigger than the other and the shape is different. The one thing we can all understand is how scary recovery is and the fear that something might be wrong.
Luckily you are seeing your nurse on Monday, I think you need to be quite firm with them that you want your surgeon to look at it, it will hopefully reassure you that it’s nothing they haven’t seen before and if there is any issues they can advise you early on. Try and take your partner to the appointment on Monday if you can for extra support.
Good luck and really hoping that you get good news on Monday xx

Thankyou Becki (have also sent you a reply inbox today)
Yes im just trying to be patient ive had to ignore these boobs allot in the past few weeks and just concerned myself with recovery physicaly and getting through the pain phase but theres a few times ive been a bit concerned with size & shape difference but yes it is still very early days so im not going to panic but it defiately needs checking out, my surgeon is not back in my local clinic until mid June my nurse told me that today but she said if she felt it neccasary she would email my pics directly to him, if i need to be seen maybe another surgeon will see me just to provide advice im not sure, hope you are well? Hope your recovery is continuing in the right direction xxx
Hey Vicky i just saw your latest pic!! Wow they are tremendous! You must be over the moon, you deffo seem to be quite a bit bigger than week 4, and i would guess a DD! Thankyou for your reply huni xxx
Thankyou Claudine! And I hope so, will see on Friday. Keep us up to date with what the nurse says. Really hope they get this rectified asap! The money and time for recovery we put into this op, it must be horrible for it to turn out where you have a complication. I researched complications a lot before I had this surgery. Sometimes it’s something as simple as a course of antibiotics I’ve read! Or other times they gotta do a correction surgery. So best to let them know early on as soon as possible so you can get it sorted. Best of luck ❤️xxxx
Morning ladies just a little update, i spoke to my nurse she looked at my pics and said she can’t see anything that would worry her and feels it’s simply one dropping quicker, im not in any pain so will be seeing her on monday as planned, i think from my photos 2 days ago it did look like one was mis-shaped and sort of mis-placed as appose to dropping quicker but took a photo this morning and they look so much better again, such a rollercoaster!!
‘The problem boob’ (that’s what im calling her now!)
Does still look a bit bigger but not as bulbous, i can feel allot of rippling today on the outer of that boob but it’s not visible, maybe it’s just moving around and finding it’s new home?? Im not sure, but i feel alot more positive with todays appearance, thanks for all your support will update on monday xxx
Excellent news Claudine! And they Deffo look like they’ve changed again 🙂 they look great! Really glad it’s nothing to worry about 🙂
Truly is an emotional rollercoaster this isn’t it ha! Xx
I think they’re completely normal xx mine are very bizarre looking at the moment too I’m also 5wk. Has 375 . Mine are very similar to yours actually x don’t worry yet
ah Claudine , I’m so happy you posted this pic, they look amazing!!! a beautiful shape. its really good for girls to post there ups and downs because it reassures others that the boobies go through so many issues before they settle down.
Claudine I am so happy for you that they seem to be sitting much better today. it is a flippin roller coaster!!! A scary one.
PS The nurse said to me on wednesday they are sisters and they don’t play together!! meaning they were 2 seperate operations and they will heal differently, so we must remember that.
You can relax and enjoy your weekend now, they look great xx
