    Hi ladies,

Just a quick photo update! I don’t have my appointment until the 21st Jan as that’s the only time I could do so I have a while to wait before being given the all clear for wired bras – which is a pain because I’ll miss out on all the post xmas sales!!!

Anyway, I’m pleased with the results. Still some dropping to do but getting there 🙂

If anyone has any questions please do ask xx

Hi CLAIRE they look amazing!! Now your 6wpo do you feel you can do more lifting wise now? I’m a mechanic and I have 4 weeks off work I’m scared When I get to 4weeks my body won’t be able to lift heavy things xxx

yeah i went back flying as cabin crew after 4 weeks and i took it easy on the first couple of flights with the heavy carts etc and i was better than what i thought i would be. I’m fine now though at 6 weeks.

try and ease yourself back into it, as you won’t have been doing much for 4 weeks at that point, your body is a bit weaker, especially when you rely on upper body strength! just remain healthy, i made sure i went on a short walk every day for the first 2 weeks after my op, and slowly built myself up to working more, hoovering etc xx

Hi Claire I noticed you said you wee Cannon crew – are you currently only doing short haul? do you know when you will be able to do long haul? My op is 30th Jan and I am flying to Barbados 9th June about 17 weeks PO! Really hoping I can do the 8hour flight!! Xxx

Yeah I just do short haul. The reason why they say to not fly for 6 weeks is due to the risk for DVT that can occur on flights.

Your risk should have decreased significantly by the time you go away, though I would tell you to take precautions; such as moving around more on the flight, do the exercises, drink plenty of water, and maybe even take an aspirin and wear the compression socks.

As I’m up and around all the time, it’s different for cabin crew flying to passengers. We just have to be off work for longer due to not being able to do heavy lifting. I was off for four weeks.

    Hope this helps xx
