Well hello girls! I have used this forum a good couple of times pre op so I thought I would give some good pointers for those girls getting ready for their big day:
Stats:
Age: 22 Height: 5ft 4/5
Size pre op: 34A
Implants: 260/290cc (asymmetrical due to weight loss) moderate profile CUI under the muscle
Size post op: 34D
Few days before op:
It is completely normal to feel like you want to back out, whether you are going the correct size, have worries about the anaesthetic etc etc. It is completely normal to have doubts so do not stress and before you know it, you’ll be about to go to theatre!
Op day:
No one warns you about the difficulty in fasting if you have never done it! Im a girl who loves her breakie and this was torturous! Once you check in and are shown your room, the wait until you get taken to theatre is awful. I felt sick, anxious and a bit sweaty. Again, completely normal! I can’t remember a thing once the anaesthetic went in, I Ko’d! My surgery was at 5pm (admitted at 3pm) and was back up in my room for 8pm!
Post op:
Post op night: You will feel like a horse is sitting on your chest and you may struggle to breathe as easy. I had 1 slice of toast (after having nothing for the full day!) and felt automatically sick. The nurse gave me an anti-sickness injection in my thigh and I swear, it was sorer than my boobs! You will fall in and out of sleep loads, your body is zonked from everything going on! I woke up at 3pm a little sore, had 1 tramadol and woke back up on wednesday morning bright as a button. One thing I will say is, even now 8 days post op, I haven’t actually been in pain at all. It is more discomfort and heavy. I was informed my surgery went perfectly so I was discharged first thing wednesday morning.
List of things to take note of:
DO NOT JUDGE STRAIGHT AWAY! I got a bit of a fright after looking at my breasts for the first time. THEY WILL CHANGE!!! They were very high up, swollen majorly at the top with a lot of swelling in my cleavage. I promise you girls 100% your boobs will change EVERY single day. Mine already look so so settled as opposed to this time last week so please do not worry like I did.
Don’t spend a fortune on bras. You will find your size will change dramatically over time. I bought the 2 for £7 ASDA sports bras (recommended by my surgeon and other post op girls) and they are amazing. I went again to ASDA and bought wireless comfort bras with thin straps so I could go out for dinner and have what looked like a like stroppy cami top on and was great!
Of course every surgeon is completely different but don’t expect to get your strapping/dressings off and have huge big stitches. I had mine removed on Monday and already my left side has healed. Now I am only wearing little steri strips that i need to change every few days.
Treat yourselves to a blow dry! You have been through a lot and your hair will show this unfortunately. If you were like me, using dry shampoo more than once is a no go so a £16 big blow dry did me the world of good 🙂
I could go on for hours and hours so if any of you girls have any questions, please do not hesitate to message me or reply on this thread. Luckily, I have a few friends who have had breast augmentation so they helped me a lot with any questions but you can never have too much help and advice!
Emma xx

This is a big help hun thank you hope it’s okay to add you xx
This is so much help! I am going 400cc moderate profile and I’m unsure if moderate profiles will push up my boobs an make them higher (which is what I want) booked my op but currently debating wether to change to highs or not?! Just want them to keep shape when I don’t have a bra on. Did you go low or general anaesthetic? Never been put to sleep before so I’m a little nervous!! X
Amber, moderate profile will give you a more natural look. I have quite a small build so i wanted my boobs to have a really natural look. I have uploaded some new photographs to give you an idea of how high they still sit given they are moderate profile! I didn’t really have a choice about the anaesthetic, but if i had asked for low i am sure they would have given me it. That was the part I worried about the most but they simply put a canular in your hand, put in a syringe of medication then give you a bigger syringe of what i guessed put me to sleep and i cannot remember a thing after that. Its completely normal to feel worried but you will be completely fine! xx
