A few PO questions

Hi girls,

I hope your all doing well. I’m 3 and half weeks PO now and healing so well. I have a few stitches still in so I’m having them remvoed tonight but I just had a few questions.

What type of bras will you be buying to wear after the sports bra? Also when are we allowed to wear non-underwire bras and underwire bras please?

Have you been having showers or baths? I’m desperate for a relaxing bath but I’m unsure if this is ‘allowed’?

Also when have you gone back to exercising? Are there anythin things that need to be avoided?

Hi hun glad your feeling good post op! Ive not had showers ive had shallow baths from a few days post op, i bathe now with more water in but dont sunmerge myself lol and ive not used any bath oils etc i was completely healed at my week check which was actually postponed till day 11, its supposed to b 6wks plus for excercise i was going to go this week and im just going to see how i feel as was thinking spin so i could do legs but then spin can be high impact on chest although i was just going to tell my instructor to pretty much ignore me as i wasnt going to join in with the mad sprinting etc. The bras my nurse said to wait a few more weeks this was at day 11, i was going to wait till 6weeks plus anyway and get whatever bra i liked but mayb u cant now uve said that?? xx

You can wear any bra you like after 6 weeks, as long as the surgeon says you can.
You can have a shower after 7 days (check up with the nurse) and a shallow bath just don’t soak your scars a tall whiles in the bath for 6 weeks.
you can start light exercising at 4 weeks mainly to do with your legs squats etc, and then everything else 6 weeks but then you should check with surgeon with this or nurse as everyone is different.
Don’t put any creams on scars but you can start creaming your boobies xx

Sorry I should’ve mentioned I also had lipo so I’ve not been able to bath with them. I think I’ll ask the burse tonight but I always seem to forget certain questions.

Hi girls I had a question that you guys might know. (All being 3 1/2 weeks) I’m 10 days post op and forgot to ask my nurse at the check up if I could start sleeping on my back? My neck and shoulders are killing and i could do with a good nights sleep haha xxx

Yes they tell u a week and at about 9 days i was much further n able to go down the bed i still use v pillow but im practically on my back i just think wen ur body lets u go with that xx
