Day surgery, after the op, how long isi t before i can see my partner, hes already flapping about it (hes more nervous than me..)
With day surgery, how long before i am allowed home, ned to be at highgate at 9am?

Hi Jaks, I haven’t had mine yet so I’m sure about some of your questions but I’ve heard it’s roughly 7 to 10 days before you can drive again or when you feel able to and with baths and showers I think it’s once the stiches are out.

Who’s doing your ba and what size are you having? bet you can’t wait hun!

    hi jaks
i had mine 6days ago with mr adamo at highgate; a day case also and heres my input for you:
    1) id say a good 48hours b4 u can drive (the anaesthetic needs to leave your body)
    2) you can see ur partener straight after u wake up, he can stay in ur room till u have ur op and come back; the whole thing takes an hour
    3) they will keep you a minimum of 4hours after ur op and u will then be discharged by ur surgeon
    4) 10days b4 you can ur stiches wet BUT u can have a shallow bath same day

    anything else, let me know!

    Hi Jaks

I am 12 days posy op and also had dr adamo at highgate (he is fab!)
    1) I agree they say 48 hours but I didnt find driving comfortable until a week later.
    2) My partner waited for me also (I was back eating toast and drinking water within the hour!)
3)I was over night so no help there sorry
4)I had a bath as soon as I got back (shallow of course) saw the nurse 6 days later who removed my dressings and I could have a shower as normal after that.

    Hope that helps
    xx

    Hi ladies!

Can I just ask, did you have to put any special creams on your scars to stop infection?? Or take any medication??

I have bio iol to put on my scars once they are healed – keep them dry and dont put anything on the broken skin.

you will definately look in proportion at that size – I have ended up a d/dd and am 6-8 and no one thinks they look fake, they look nice and full, I am realy pleased
    xx
