So I had my last MRSA swabs after antibiotics and they’ve come back positive. Two days before my operation, I’m absolutely devastated. I can’t fault MYA at all because they’ve everything they could for me even pushing the swabs closer together to try and fit me in. I’m just the unluckiest person in the world. I’ve had to now cancel my holidays at work so I have to go back in tomorrow, which will be awful seen as I was so excited to be leaving and getting my boobs.

Now I’ve got to do another course of antibiotics, a longer 10 day course and use nose ointment as well, then I’ll have to have another three separate lots of tests before I can have my op. So I don’t even know now when I’ll be getting it done.

    Just feel totally fed up

I found out about my MRSA weeks ago now, I was on a week long course of antibiotics then had to have three separate swab tests, the first two were negative but the last one was positive 🙁 Don’t worry about it though as it is pretty rare, they only contact you about them if they are positive, so I wouldn’t worry that you’ve not found anything out.

And thanks girls, I know it’s whats best but it really upset me as the first two lots were negative, even the nurse said at my last swabs it would be extremely rare for the last ones to come back positive. Just my luck 🙁 x
