Acid reflux

Hi ladies, I used to suffer really bad with acid reflux and it occurs every now and then but tends to worsen when I’m anxious. Has any suffered with acid reflux abd been ok with the op? I am going to tell them at my pre op but wanted to hear others experience. Thank you xx

I have this too constantly I mentioned it to my surgeon and he didn’t think it will be a problem. It just makes my chest really tight which obviously wont be ideal once ive had the op! I have my Pre op next week so will let you know what they say xx

My op is Thursday and my surgeon has written notes down and said it’s really important to let them know in theatre you suffer from this and I have To take my medication with me and try not to take it prior so Iv stopped already but suffering

Hi lovely op all done yesterday I am very uncomfy but not really in pain! So I took my reflux meds and was absolutely fine to be honest my reflux was the best it’s been yesterday! Probably with all the tablets! The handy thing is you will want to sit upright which helps xxx

Op went fine Iv had a little trouble with swallowing bread since but think it’s combination of feeling like something is sitting on my chest and the reflux lol xx

Ah this is good to hear that it is not majorly playing up. Glad you are both not to bad. Did you have unders. I’m just going to get some tablets to take with me just incase. Have you guys been taking ibuprofen? I find that really irratates me xx
