admission time 12 noon, anyone know what time to expect op?!

they rang me with my admission time about an hour ago, 12 noon next Monday, I’m staying over night, seems quite a late admission time though. Anyone going in around the same time? and if so what surgeon? x

That’s early for an over night as day cases are until 11.30 x

I’m not really nervous yet but I bet I’m a wreck on Monday morning! I’m travelling from Oxford so have just booked a hotel near by for the night before and night of the Op. I was originally staying over at the hosp but they let me change it :0) what about you? Are you taking someone with you? X

how comes you changed it did they refund you for the stay then? I’m going up the morning of as only 40 odd minute drive, but staying there the night of. I think I’m getting dropped off but otherwise gonna be on my own! what about you? x

I’m not a massive fans of hospitals and so if I don’t need to stay I’m not! My mates coming with me so at least staying in hotel saves her from doing 2 return journeys and I get a bit of company. They did say they would refund me but didn’t say how much just that it would take 10 days. We’ll come and chat to you! I was really worried about going on my own but luckily my friend was able to get the time off work. Have you got everything you need now? ii need to go and get some front opening tops this weekend if I don’t want to live in my pj’s! X

my admission time was 10am, and i had my op at around 1.40pm! i didn’t expect such a wait xx

My admission time was 8am but didn’t go in for my op until 6pm.

I got to hospital at 12 and was first on the list for afternoon, day cases ran really late and I didn’t go down til 4.30pm x

thanks vicstar, yeah come and find me please! so i could go down early or late, who knows, i guess doesnt matter too much as I’m an overnighter but would rather getting done sooner as i know i will be a bag of nerves! I’m not a fan of hospitals too, gonna take a packed lunch as don’t fancy hospital food! x
