Admission time

Hi girls I booked for afternoon slot but got early morning …. It’s ok sorted child care it’s just hopefully I make it getting down lol….
Is it best from Birmingham to go to Euston and walk from there …..
Also who else has different slot to what they had hoped for xxx

I’d say it’s around a 15/20 min walk from Euston. Or you could hop on the tube, 1 stop to Warren Street and it’s about a 3 min walk from there xx

@arielle-p-lind I got the afternoon slot next Friday at 2pm. What time did you end up getting? Xx

I asked for early morning at got 2pm.
How long does it take before you actually have the op?
When do you have to stop eating and drinking?

Hi girls well think I may do the walk and 6hrs no food before op and 2hrs water Hun and @vixstar I got 9am but dunno how long before op I have to wait xx

@mae14 my admission time was 9am and I was taken down to surgery at 11:30am. But it varies on the day if the surgeon is running on time/late. Xx

Hi how long before the op did they give u the time? Mines tuesday and slightly panicking i havent got a time x

@milly my op is also Tuesday I got mine Friday however I’m not with MYA. Maybe phone them and ask xx

My admission time is 07:30 on Sunday!! Was hoping for a later slot as first train will not get me there in time. Now having to drive down at stupid o clock xx

@millyldn I had mine 7 days before my op through email, however check your junk mail as mine was in there x

Okay i’m tottally panicking now as its bassicly monday now and i still havent heard! checked all my junk etc ?? now i feel like my date has been lost?! I have to wait till 9am before i can call! gonna be up all night now lol xx

PHEW! just listened and have a voice mail- 7am! So does this mean i will be released by the afternoon time does anyone know? Xx

@millyldn all depends on how well you recover from the anaesthetic Hun.

For example my admission time was 9am, went down for surgery at 11:30. Woke up in recovery at 1ish, back in my room at 1:30. However was not discharged until 7:45.

I think general rule is you stay a minimum of 4 hours from the time you are back in your room. Hope that kind of helps xx
