Admission time 2pm for day case?!

Hi I’ve just had my admission time for my op and it’s 2pm I was told I was a day case but it says I can be waiting up to 6 hours afterwards for my op? Has anyone else a day case with an admission time so late?! Thanks xxx

Hi my admission time was 11.30 but I didn’t actually go down until about 3…then I was leaving by about 7.30. Not as late as your admission time I know xx

Well last time I had a night case and it was 12pm my admission time! So I’m really confused I was told yesterday it’s a day case. I haven’t even spoken to anyone since my 12 week appointment with my surgeon which was months ago and I don’t know what to expect or how different it is for revision surgery! The nurse was supposed to call me this morning but didn’t get a call 🙁 xxx

Hey Hun my admission time was 2pm and I didn’t leave the hospital til nearly 10pm. Although I didn’t have my op til nearly 5 if I remember rightly. So if you have your op on time it won’t be as bad xx

My op is tomorrow and my admission time is 2pm for day case .. I’ll keep you posted how it goes ☺️ Xx

Mine was 2pm too it was meant to be 12 but they changed it the day before, I was in theatre by 5.30 and left hospital around 11pm I had to wait for the drip to finish before they would discharge me tho so you might get out earlier 🙂 xxx

What?! Oh god I hope I don’t get discharged that late I wouldn’t have anyone to take me home!! My admission time was earlier when I had a night case starting to get annoyed! I chose a day case so i would be out earlier for s reason! 🙁 xxx

Yeah I wasn’t pleased either I booked a hotel to stay over and didn’t get to it until almost midnight then I was out at 7am!! Total waste of money if I knew it would be so late I wouldn’t have bothered I would have just got brought straight home! There was 2 girls to go down for their ops after me too the nurse was saying so god knows what time they were out haha! I always thought day cases were before 12 the way the PC explained it to me so you got out at a reasonable time! Xxx

Oh my god!! I’ve e mailed my pc cos I can’t go that late! Which hospital was this at?? I’m going to Preston xxx

I was out just after 11pm too Hun was down theatre about half 6 so a bit of a wait which was annoying but I had a tele in my room so that helped to pass the time but I had to wait 4 hours after the general anaesthetic even tho I felt totally fine. I was 14/15 on the list so I suppose it’s where you are on the list Xx

@la1993 I was also Preston too .. Can’t fault the staff tho they are all lovely ☺️

Oh god! I was at Preston last time they were all lovely but I can’t get home that late ?? xxx
