Generally, how long between admission and op time do you wait? Just had mine through – 8.15am. And how long before you’re allowed home, all being well?

Nerves are well and truly kicking in!!!

Everyone is completely different! My admission time was 9am and my surergy was about 12pm. Unfortunately I didn’t take well to the anesthetic and was sick loads so I couldn’t leave the hospital until 10pm. Your surgery time depends on if you’re a day or night case I think – as they get the day cases done first x

Ahhh sorry you weren’t well afterwards. I genuinely hope I can come home.
My surname actually begins with an A so I’m going off the logic that I might be first in 🙂 – wishful thinking! who knows?! Either way, excited!!! Thanks for taking the time to reply xx

Yeah it wasn’t great but the staff at the hospital were so lovely so it wasn’t all bad 🙂 haha well my surname begins with P and I was fairly early so I don’t think it’s done that way I’m afraid! Strangely it’s actually a really enjoyable day so try not to stress too much!xx

@jensmith my admission time was 8am and I was out of surgery by 12pm and my operation only lasted 30 minutes but obviously was in the room longer. Then I left the hospital around 2pm, hope this helps! X

My admission was 07.30 i went to theatre around 08.40. Try to sneak a peak at the receptionists theatre schedule when you get there.
You have to stay in for a minimum of 4 hours after a GA.

Thank you everyone! 3 days to go! I’m like a kid at Christmas!

My initial reason for asking was that I was wondering whether I needed my mum to pick up the kids at 3pm or if I’d be back in time. I ended up plucking up the courage and finally telling my mum all about it.
She’s having the kids anyway (Hubbie would’ve done it if not) and a massive weight has been lifted by telling her.

Thanks for taking the time to reply xx

@jensmith well done telling mom & glad that went well … I’m 20 days po now & still haven’t told my step mom! She’s in another country so hadn’t seen me & I felt like she’d try to talk me out of it or argue with me so I just avoided telling her all together … Ha! Maybe she’ll focus on the new tattoos enough that she won’t notice the boobs! He he he

I got there at 9, went down at 11-12 and was out by 4. The nurse is happy to tell you how many people etc are in front of you and you can usually guess what time you’ll be. From what I gathered and as I shared a room, they get the quick ops done first and then they go to the longer ones. X
