Admission time concern….

Hi Girls

Just been given my boob admission time for Wednesday 17th at Preston. It’s 1pm!

It seems a little late with me not being booked to stay over, how long do you usually have to wait from the admission time to the actual surgery? & What time would I be looking at being discharged that day?

Is that usually the last surgery of the day? Little concerned as I wanted to be back at home comforts!! It’s better getting a fresh wide eyed surgeon than someone who’s in a hurry to finish work for the day to finish his Christmas shopping! Haha.

Any info would be most useful so I know what to expect!!

Ring your pc and ask, Id have thought with you being day case you’d be early but then again everyone there that day might be day case too so I guess someone has to go later which is rubbish. My admission was 9am and I went to theatre about 11.30. It depends how much delay there is on each op etc. xx

i was in at 11.30 yesterday but went in for op at 3pm and left at 9pm last night xx

I’m booked in for 12 noon which I’m worried about being too late as my husband and 2 young children will be picking me up at night and don’t really want them being out to late, esp not 9pm!!! Xx
