Admission time for the 11th :)

Yaaayyyy!! Just got my admission time…12 o’clock on the 11th!!
As nervous as I am about the cannula and drains, I am soooo excited!!
Does anyone know if I’ll be aloud 2 people with me at highgate? Also thinking it might be a late night with me going at 12 cos I’m obviously not going to have my actual surgery then?!?
Also does the cannula go in at the last minute??

Hey I had mine done at high gate yday with mr Singh! The staff at high gate are amazing honestly i would do it all over again tomorrow, I’m pathetic when it comes to any hospital needle blood etc and the biggest worrier in the world and I didn’t panic or worry myself once even when I was walking down to the theatre I was soo calm and the nurse said ah there’s nothin at all to be scared about ull be back in an hour and the canalar went in just at the last minute while i was having gas to make me feel drunk snd lighthesded and then i didn’t feel a thing they also gave me numbing cream an hour before surgery so I didn’t feel anything! Just mention to ur nurse before that ur scared of needles so can u have sum numbing cream n she give u it! I went sleep at 12.15 and awake again in my room at 1.25! Amazing u will be absolutely fine and will love the whole experience(never ever thought i Would be saying this trust me!) good luck Hun xxx

I’m sooo glad to hear the cannula goes in at the last minute…I didn’t like the thought of sitting there with it in my hand!! How come you had gas or does everybody have it??
How are you feeling after the surgery?? xx

I don’t know the aneatheist jus said to me I can give u some gas what women we during labour to make u drowsy while putting e canular in and then u won’t feel it much and I didn’t! Just ask if u Want it and numbing cream cos has to be on for hour or so! I feel good just bit drowsy and pulling from the strapping that I have on but not everybody has it depends who’s your surgeon? I Can’t put weight much on arms so I ave to use abs to pull myself up and walking like a robot lolmbut it’s nowhere near as bad as I thought and I’m a wimp! Highways are so lovely and helpful too it makes it such a nice experience! What are you having?x
