Admission vs Op Time

Hello Ladies!

I just got my admission time for 10am Friday but it saying could be waiting up to 6 hours.. Is there much truth to this? How long were you waiting after your admission?

My admission time was 12 first they told me it would be an hour but I didn’t go down till 3.30 ish left the hospital at 9ish once discharged dressed and medication given goes quick though because they do all there paper work n checks and draw on u and stuff xx

My admission time was 11am didn’t go down for op till 3.45pm but is not to bad you have your own room well u wait. Is just not being able to eat that is a pain. I had such a headache by the time my op came X

My admission time was 9.30, and I went down at 11.30. You spend a lot of time being seen by the nurses and anaesthetist so it goes so quick, I was only alone watching TV for about half an hour before they came to take me up. They tell you where you are on the list so you get some idea of how long you’ll be waiting, I was 4th xx

Mine was 12 went down about 20 past 3, first 2 hrs went really quick but last hr ish went sooo slow! Think partly becos all i could think about was food ? x

My admission time was 2 and I went for the op at 4.30ish discharged at 10.30pm. Sounds like a long day but so much was going on it went fast. The hospital room was really comfortable and I even managed to have a little snooze before the op, good thing really as I was starving!! Xx

my admission was 9am i got there early by accident at 8am and went down to surgery at 1:15/1:30ish, there was a lot that happened in this time though so it seemed to go fast. i napped a bit whilst waiting as well xx

My admission is at 7am (I’m not a mya girl though) so I’m getting a taxi to the hospital so the hubby can do the school run. I said to him just think on that day if I go down early I could be done before you even get to me after dropping the kids off. I am hoping that with such an early admission I’ll be done really early. X

My admission was 9am. I went down at 11:30 and had about a 15 minute wait from there once downstairs. I was back in the room around 2:30. And haven’t been discharged yet. Hope this helps x
