Advice about wearing a bra?!

So I’m 6 weeks post op in 4 days time! It’s gone so fast! I’m going to get measured this weekend as I don’t think 2 days is going to make much difference. My 6 weeks check isn’t for another 2’weeks and ive just realised I can’t make that appointment now due to work! I’m dying to wear a normal bra again. Will it be ok for me to wear a bra once ive been measured or do I need to see the nurse before? My scars are healing perfectly and have already started to fade! Xx

I had to delay my 6 week check too hun, due to work. I wore a normal bra for a little while. Needed to get used to it. As long as you think your scars look fine. Go for it! Xx

I would see the nurse first hun, only purely for the fact that if something was to go wrong (hopefully it wouldn’t) you wouldn’t really have a leg to stand on because they hadn’t gave you the all clear, couldn’t you call up and see if they have a cancellation for another time? For the time you’ve waited so far I would just hold off, you could still be fitted and buy some new bras but just wait until the nurse has checked first xxx

I agree with Kelsie. Im sure it probably would be fine, but if anything did happen they wouldn’t be happy to find out you hadn’t been told by a nurse they were ok. Give them a ring and see if they have a cancellation xx
