I’ve had another consultation today and because I am only a 34a I always thought I would need to go under the muscle and have been told that by some other surgeons that have seen me so after being told today I could have overs I am a little confused. Has anyone had overs and started as an A? Because I’m worried I don’t have enough breast tissue and they will look really fake and you will be able to see the implant. If anyone has any advice or pictures it would be great! x
Yup, I went with 615 overs and I started as an A, I had unders before and I will say overs are far more comfortable x
Hi i had 450 overs yesturday from a 34A/32B i am 9stone 5ft 4. I thought the same but was also told i had enough tissue. I took photos of what i wanted to look like which i thought might of been helpful. Dont know what im going to end up like though haha. Was told it would take me to a DD
I started as a 34AA/A at 5″8, size 8. I’m now a DD, they only ever look fake when I arch right back and stick my arms out haha xx
I started as a 32a and i had 385cc overs. Feel free to add hun xxx
Thank you ladies it’s good to hear people to have overs it’s just I haven’t heard many people or seen many pictures. Do you think they are more comfortable even after you have had them done for a while Kaydee? Thank you JF92 I’ve added you hope that is ok xx
@alice6491 yes! By far. I HATED My unders, really hated them, they were never comfy at all. You can feel your muscle pressing the implant when you make certain movements, for example when I hoovered or washed the floor it felt horrible even after a year post op. You can also see your implants shift if you put your hands on your hips and push forwards with unders (flex distortion).
These feelings were before I had any complications, were not at all affected or caused by the complications and they never go away. With unders you will always have some issues with your arms, sometimes only slight but it’s still there. Your muscles are cut to allow for the implant and it just never 100% recovers from that. The way my Dr put it was “Breasts are not supposed to go behind the muscle and it’s simple as that”.
Love my overs, they look so much better, are soft and I can’t feel them at all. THe unders were squished, hard and uncomfy.
The biggest risk with overs is ripples and in my own exp I’d rather deal with a little rippling than how my unders felt. Lucky I have no ripples at all so far even though I had little tissue (I used the tsx). Some reports say overs carry a bigger risk for CC but it’s untrue, in the US where these tests are conducted they use the same implants we use for unders (textured) but use only smooth implants for overs, it’s the smooth shell that has a greater risk for CC not the placement.
Feel free to add if you’d like to see picturesx
Ye I would personally go overs but my reason is more because my personal preference of not having my muscles touched but going unders was originally brought In for more coverage and those with little to no breast tissue at all, so I’ve read anyway xx
Thanks Kaydee that’s interesting to know because I am quite active and do a lot of sport so don’t want them to be moving. What size unders did you have? I don’t know what to do now! I’ll add you now although I’m not sure I can get this forum working properly on my laptop because it would be good to see your pictures. @xxJF92xx I tried to private message you about the add and seeing your pictures but it wouldn’t work x x
Even if you had no complications or issues it would definitely have an effect on certain activities. The most simple way to put it is that unders are always an alien object in the body as they are placed somewhere that naturally should be void. I had 460. x
Thank you! Just had a look at your pictures, they look good, you must be pleased especially if they are less painful now! x x
So pleased! They still have to d&f yet so will soften and look more natural later on. The implant doesn’t show though and I don;t think they look stuck on fake either, the allergan soft touch are very good for ladies with little/no tissue looking at gettig overs, they are very thick so have less chance of ripples x
