I’ve not had the best experience with getting surgery on my boobs and I’m always telling people the same advice so they don’t go through what I have. I had now need a second corrective surgery with a different company, so I’m paying twice and extra because they’re fixing what the first company did and refuse to fix. I’m not trying to scare anyone, just let you all know what I wish I’d done before I had my op.
1. Do as much research as you can
look at techniques used for the op, read reviews of companies and surgeons on things like trustpilet and here. look at as much of the surgeons work on here, don’t just believe the pics the surgeon shows you, that’s their very best work.
I really regret not doing more research before getting mine done. I went with a well known company which has ads on t.v. and I’ve had a really bad experience.
2. Take pictures with you to consultations.
Take ones of people with similar boobs to you, ones who have had the same op as your getting, pre and post op if you can find them, and ones of natural boobs you like. Ask the surgeon how likely it is you’ll look like the picture, that way you’ll know what they plan on leaving you with.
3. Think about the condition of your skin.
If you need an uplift then chances are your skin isn’t strong or elastic enough to support your own boobs in a high position. So think whether they would be able to support the added weight of implants?
4. See as many surgeons as you can.
Some of act like they’re running a fast food restaurant, your in and out in ten minutes, they say they’ll do whatever you’ve asked for because they know they’ll get money. They don’t seem to care what your left with. You want a surgeon that really examines you and thinks what will and won’t work for your body and skin, the last surgeon I saw checked my boobs for lumps before he would discuss any operations. Others I’ve seen have told me exactly what won’t work for my skin. And some have just agreed to do an op without seeming to think anything through.
5. Tests!
the company I went with for my first op didn’t do any blood tests etc.. I thought nothing of it at the time, but now I’m thinking surely a professional surgeon should want a simple blood test before operating on you. I know the Harley medical group make you have a mammogram before they’ll operate on your boobs.
6. Don’t trust all surgeons.
Some are amazing and can’t do enough for you, but some aren’t. I made the mistake of believing all plastic surgeons would do a good job and would fix any post op problems, I was wrong.
7. Remember plastic surgery is art
Plastic surgery is all about design and creating something out of something else. Remember the surgeon you have is designing your boobs in his image of boobs, or is just doing what you asked for and not really taking time to make them look really good. Some are brilliant at it, other aren’t. I’ve seen pictures of some surgeons work that I definitely would not be happy with.
Good luck to everyone getting a op, I hope you all get the boobs you want xxx
