Hi girls, my op was yesterday and I’ve had an awful nights sleep. I slept propped up using a v pillow but really struggled as I usually sleep on my side or front and could not get comfortable. Anyone have any good ideas that might help? I’m like a zombie today x

Hi Di, sorry not much help but going to follow this thread.
I had mine yesterday too & woke up every hour. I had to put pillows all round me so I didn’t roll over as I’m a side sleeper. Xx

I’m the same. Only decent night sleep I had was when the day I had my opp ☹️. Don’t think I slept at all last nyt

I’m two weeks in now of sleeping on my back and I’d definitely say you get more used to it!

I do wake up with slight achy back but I do get a decent night sleep too now I’m used to not sleeping on my side or tummy

I read if you put a pillow under your knees and under your arms it helps get comfy until you’re used to sleeping on your back. I’m going to try this tonight.

    Thanks Laura, that’s encouraging x

I’m 8 days post op, and honestly the sleeping on my back was the Worst pain I experienced rather than my actual boobs hurting haha. It does get better but I did ache for about the first 4 nights…I also took a piriton (as it makes me really drowsy) before I went to sleep on the 3rd night as I was so sick of not sleeping and it did help me! And you do get used to it and your back will stop aching don’t worry xx

I’m 20dpo and waking with a horrible pain right in the top centre of my back, still sleeping on back as have been advised to just sleeping lower down, not sure if it’s the new weight of the boobs but it’s a horrible pain and lasts about half an hour after I wake x

I used 2 V shaped pillows and put one behind me and one under my thighs / bum. Stops you getting a numb bum and I’ve slept so much better since using 2 xx

I’m a year post op on the 23rd.
I slept with a few more pillows than normal for a while but I had so much pain in my back and I have the worst moods when i don’t sleep properly.. I just gave it up in the end and slept normally but stayed on my back and my boobs have been completely fine x

Loads of pillows! I didn’t have a V pillow but I used 8 pillows positioned comfortable all around my top half so even though I was upright it was more comfortable x

I’m 3dpo and I dread going to bed. Once I’m asleep it’s alright but waking up is horrendous I am in sooo much pain and getting upright is a mission I have to have someone push me up from my back and it burns for a few mins afterwards soooo sore! Hoping and praying it doesn’t last much longer! I don’t mind being on my back it’s the pain 🙁

    Hi girls.

I’ve been really struggling to actually stay asleep. Longest I’ve slept has been four hours. I’m literally exhausted. Has anyone got any advice? I’m 5dpo now
