    Hi ladies,

Just after a bit of advice please 🙂
My surgery is 5/09 and I’m having unders so aware this can be more painful and longer recovery etc… just wondering when you can start to lift things properly?
I have to lift heavy boxes of books for my summer job, could be 10kg-20kg sometimes more. I will have about 20 days off of work, do you think that would be enough?
Also, I have a pestering other half wanting to know when you are able to engage in bed time stuff 😉 any advice?

    Thank you 🙂

    hi !

i had over so, im unable to tell you fully when you can lift, i struggled the first two weeks but you are advised only light lifting for 6 weeks…

when i had mine, i had sex after two weeks, but very gentle…. youll have to be super careful… as no laying on the chest, keeping sports bra on and not to much jumping about lol… xx

I asked PC this question about sex and she said as soon as you feel ready but you must keep your post op bra on until the 6 week mark x

I wouldnt advise lifting after 20 days on… your recovery is still very much in the early stages and if you lift something heavy you will feel the twinge and pain etc, and it could be dangerous in terms of dislocation of the implant etc… usually it is advised not to undertake any heavy lifting for 6 weeks xxx

Thank you for your replies ladies!
I’m getting really worried about it now as I feel uncomfortable even telling them why I’m taking the holiday off.
Is there anyway your doctor could give them like a sick note or something to say go on light duties at all? It’s worrying, in starting to think I may have to quit the job!
I don’t want to risk anything going wrong with my boobs and their heeling, just don’t think my work would understand 🙁 xx

I told my work I had a bad back and they put me on light duties, a white lie I know but I didn’t want people gossiping about me.
They seem to accept it x
