I have a little struggled to get rid of stubborn fat around my lower abs in fact I never have enough though I exercise 7 days a week and eat pretty healthy! Vaser is my final option before I give up completley!
Am just after some advise from anyone who has had this procedure done on these areas, where you happy with the results? Did it eliminate that muffin top look?
I have my first consultation tomorrow to find out more! Any advise you can share will be helpful
Thanks Marie
Hi Marie, I had vaser upper and lower abdomen 3 weeks ago. Same as you, happy with other areas of my body, just unhappy with my stomach. Seemed out of proportion. I so desperately wanted to wear a dress in total confidence.
So far, I am happy with the results. You are to expect bloating which even at 3 weeks isn’t too bad. The 4d vest is more of a pain than the surgery itself! I have to wear mine for another week until I just start wearing the thinner garment. I can’t wait, as I haven’t got many baggy clothes to wear. Can’t wait to get back into my jeans! So, even though I look like crap at the moment (cos I love clothes/shopping), it’s a small price to pay and it’s only temporary.
I haven’t had any massage as it wasn’t really stipulated enough to me so wasn’t really aware of it. I’ve tried wearing the 4d vest quite tight to get the best results but like a new pair of shoes, it takes a while to wear it in, and can be really uncomfortable awkward to manoeuvre in. Took me a few days to get it fitting me well. I have been using sanex in the shower (when I was told I could shower), and just been using it only in all other areas, not directly to the stomach.
No muffin top which I’m really pleased with. I’ve been trying to eat healthy/better and drinking lots of water. If you over-do it i.e. walking too much or rushing around, it will make you instantly bloated so it is essential you take it easy at least in the first week or two.
All in all, I know people have had different experiences with this, and it works better for some than others but just 3 weeks after, I’m already pleased.
Any other questions, please ask.
Becky
Thank you Becky that’s really helpful! Am only in the initial stages of the consultations but I really feel it’s something that I can do to make me body confident! Am just worried about paying the money out and not seeing any difference.
How long did you take off work post op? Did they tell you how long it would be before you could start working out again? Thanks
Hi Becky
Thanks for sharing your experience, My surgery is next week and i’m a little nervous of what to expect. Do you have any before and after pics?
Hi Marie, I had surgery on a Saturday, was off work for 7 working days post op. I felt fine to go back to work then (although I did enjoy the time off), I just found driving was a little awkward because of the 4D vest so just had to take it easy. I’m waiting for my pre and post op pics so when I have them, i’ll post them on here but when I get a chance, I try and at least put a post op pic so you can at least get an idea of my body shape and my new stomach.
Now at 6 weeks post op since my 6 week check up, I can start exercising but I was told if I feel any discomfort etc, to stop. So it’s just a matter of trial and error. I haven’t got round to doing any exercise yet tho! At this point, my tummy is a little tender still but it’s totally bearable.
Vaser Girl, have you had your op now?? You’ll be fine!!
Hi @beckyhadler I’m scheduled in for this Friday. I’ve only booked Monday off work, hoping the weekend would be enough for me to recover ( so 3 days off total) they say you can start seeing some results from week 6, do you notice much of a difference now your swelling has reduced? That’s interesting that you say you were allowed to work out again after 6 weeks. My doctor told me I can start again after 2 weeks. I hope I don’t have to wait that long, or would u say 2 weeks is a little too soon?
Would love to se some before and afters! xxx
