I live in Birmingham but having my surgery in London (2 and a half hour drive). I’ve been told it’s advised to stay in a hotel close to the clinic but it’s not compulsory. Has anyone else had to travel this far and gone home after or do you think it’s best I get a hotel?xx

Hi hun, I live down in Bournemouth and had my op in London which is about a 2 hour drive. I stayed in a hotel on my first night about 5 mins from the hospital. I didn’t stay at the clinic as it was an extra £400 (although you do get fab medical care) but thought it wasn’t worth risking something going wrong overnight and not being close to care. Also, you can have a friend/boyfriend/family member to stay with you at the hotel unlike in the hospital so I would def recommend to do that, if even just for peace of mind 🙂 xx
