I’ve been to transform & was told I would need an uplift and ba. I’m in a bit a shock tbh I just wanted a ba
I’m waiting for me appt with mya in few weeks just wanted few opinions aswel please
Uplift needed ?
I do have loose skin & stretch marks
Hi, I’m not a doctor so obviously I’m not going to give the right answers but from looking at your photos you look a lot like my mum! She’s booked for surgery this month with dr lutz at mya! She thought she would need a uplift BUT dr lutz told her if she was willing to have a big implant she wouldn’t need a uplift so my mum is having 425cc she could of gone bigger but she’s decided 425cc overs would be prefect for her! If she went for a smaller implany then yes she would of needed a uplift as well… all surgeons are different I think it’s just finding the right one xx
Mine are not much different from yours and I’m just having a ba.
Hi hun I had a mini uplift and implants with Mya last Dec with Dr Fiumara. Depending on the severity of your sagging and loose skin surgeons give different advice. I was told I had a slight droop but my surgeon refused to give me just implants because she said the end result would be rubbish. Literally my boobs but just bigger. All my mates said onwards nuts to have an uplift and didn’t see why. But the more I inspected my boobs and realised my nipples were facing two different directions and the only way I could get them centred was by raising my arms plus the crease from the side view was lower than my nipple I realised my surgeon was right.
I didn’t think I needed an uplift but after researching more and thinking about the final result I went ahead. Some surgeons opt to put a larger implant in and not do an uplift because the implant give the boobs a lift. However this technique may cause the boob to sag even more because the implant is an additional weight on the boob and the final look may need redoing sooner because rather don’t stay as perky.
You should have a look on realself.com and search for questions around implants with and without uplifts. Surgeons give free advice to people all u have to do is upload a few images.
It does cost more to have two proceedures in one however if u choose not to have an uplift and find a surgeon who is happy to go ahead u may end up having a re op a lot sooner.
Some women get put off having an uplift due to scarring but I found that my scars around my nipple have healed 100x better than the scars under my boobs. I used kelo-cote-scar-gel-15g advised by my surgeon and I moisturise my boobs twice a day with shea butter. It would probably help if u posted up on the uplift section of the forum to get advice from women going through it also.
Here’s another view

Urgh tht one won’t load but all I’d suggest is see a surgeon or two at Mya to get some more opinions and ask them if they suggest an uplift exactly why they suggest it and what type ie. Lollipop, anchor, doughnut what would happen if u didn’t personally have an uplift as well as implants. Also what sized implants and projection they thibk would suit u. Hope that helps hun, try not to worry just make sure you ask lots of questions and make notes. It’s best you understand the process and u can make a good decision for yourself. All the best fxx
Thanks for the replies! I just wish my appt at mya was a sooner so I knew really. I’ve had two kids and lost a bit of weight an now just hate them 🙁
Fran – thanks I will look, now that surgeon has said it I would be concerned about getting ba then they just sagging again as I have loose skin & stretch marks at the top. I would be happy with the mini uplift just the anchor one looks aggressive I don’t heal well so wouldn’t fancy going for that xx
Ur welcome hun don’t worry too much about it honestly I have a friend on here called Carly she had a full uplift with implants and she has kids, she had hers done by my surgeon u should have a look at her profile I will try and put her tag name on here I’m sure she won’t mind or I will tag u on her thread.
Honestly if they suggest an uplift u would be supply how well the scaring heals. Not many surgeons offer the mini uplift and some are against it and say it doesn’t make much difference but I’m very happy personally.
You are on the right track regardless because u have started having consultations and will be happier and more confident before u know it! Fxx
Hiya
I think what Vicki said , I’ve only just had my surgery but I was 34a and had 2 children so my skin had stretched, Ms Lutz gave me 275cc implants because that’s what size would best fit the skin I had and my frame. I asked to be a D cup and that’s what I’m measuring at or maybe 36C which I’m really happy with. They feel and look quite natural for me.
Transform also told me I needed an uplift, i was so shocked as I felt like I didn’t really have any boobs to drop! I’m booked in with mya for July and I’m not having an uplift as mya said I didn’t need it xx
I saw Dr Traynor at Mya, he said I don’t need an uplift, just an implant to fill them out. I was an empty 34C before my op, I am now a 30FF. I am very happy with them and although they sound big, with clothes on they look pretty similar to what I was before with a padded bra. Ps I breast fed 3 children x get a second opinion hun.
ps More pictures on my profile. add me as a friend to see them xx
I was very droopy but had no sagging skin if that makes sense i had a BA only but the max implant i could have was 375cc i also had unders, i would of liked them to be a bit bigger but the weight may have been to much, if you can find a surgeon using the new lightweight implants then maybe it would increase your chances of a BA only otherwise i would say a lift is probably needed or a future lift will need to taken into consideration xxx
Thanks everyone, given me a little bit of hope! My appt with dr traynor is 19th June so can’t wait until then xx
Hi Claudine! What surgeon did you have? I want to avoid a lift so if I can find a surgeon that does the lightweight implants I think it will give me better results. And did you have high profile? Thank you xx
@fran32 youre amazing i completely agree with everything you said in your post, think a bigger implant will just cause more sagging later on. big saggy boobs and wasted money and needing a BA and uplift anyway because you have now stretched and sagged the skin even more :/ also gonna copy and paste what ive written on the uplift forum:
“First of all, I am only 23 too! Currently 8 days post-op with an augmentation and uplift… now I’m going to tell you my story and point of view in the hope it makes you feel better and think about it more thoroughly…
My boobs are probably saggeir than yours haha but the story is the same. I went for two different consultations. I hoped to have a straight forward BA (mostly due to the obvious decrease in price!) in fact this is what I wanted, so much so that I went to another surgeon. Both of them told me that I’d be wasting my money, ultimately, by having just a BA, and that I wouldn’t achieve the perky boobs that I want. I remember being soooo upset with the first surgeon, like almost livid he would say that.. looking back now I don’t know how I thought I could JUST have a BA, like literally feel like such an idiot haha, because I’d have been sooo unhappy because with the implant weight they will literally just drop and sag, hun! Telling me I needed an uplift for longer results was the best thing they every did for me. Yes I had to pay 6K+ instead of 3K+, yes I had a longer recovery and more scars, but my results are much nicer and will be longer lasting in the end 🙂 So I guess what I’m saying is, these guys have been in the game for years, and they know what’s best, they also don’t want you to be disappointed with your results. Obvs I ain’t seen your before-boobs before, but if you have a BA and you already suspect now that you may need an uplift, then those implants will sag your breasts majorly and you won’t be happy at all 🙂 Spending double for a surgery is better than wasting your money completely on the first one, against the Dr’s advice xxx
also just to add, watch lots of videos on YouTube, I think I watched almost every video I could find on an uplift and BA lol, and honestly those scars fade fast! Like Fran has said the ones around the nipple/seemingly visible ones heal MUCH faster and look better than the one on the crease!! Just want you to make the best decisions that’s right for you, so that in the end you don’t have regrets <3 xxx
Yeah hun it takes a while to come round to the idea, took me a while too, but looking back like I said so glad I did and saw sense xxx and thank you <3 good luck 🙂 xxx
