    Hi ladies,

I was wondering if anyone that had under the muscle implants would be able to advise on pain afterwards?

I’m booked in for 20th of August (currently an A cup) I’m having 290cc anatomical implants. Hopefully going to a C cup.

If anyone could help that would be great! Also which size sports bra should I get for after my op?

    Thank you ? Xx

Hiya, I had my ba Sunday so I’m on day 2 now, pain really hasn’t been as bad as I had built it up in my head, I would say it’s uncomfortable but not really painful, my arms ached the first night but apart from that my chest just feels a bit tight! Some have said the pain can worsen days 3 or 4, so I guess I will see tomorrow or the day after! Anymore questions feel free to ask and I have a few pics if u want to add me to have a peek ?

Hi Naomi! I had my surgery on the 15th July, so I’m currently 18 days post op 🙂 I had 300cc under the muscle. When I came around from the GA I was surprised that I was in no pain at all, even when the painkiller wore off I was in nowhere near as much pain as I’d imagine I would be. My chest felt a little tight, my back ached because I was using other muscles to compensate for my chest muscles. I bought plenty of co codamol ready for the first few days post-op, but by the third day I just didn’t need them anymore. My back hurt from the awkward sleeping position more than anything else! That and the infamous ‘morning boob’, but I found that once I got up and started going about my day to day routine I felt almost normal again.

With the sports bras, they advise you go up a band size to allow for swelling, and as for the cup size, I’d advise buying a few different sizes (I’m a petite girl, I usually wear a 30 band so I bought a 32 and it still ended up really tight for the first week!) I really recommend the M&S extra high impact zip up front sports bras, they’re really supportive. Theyre around £25 in the stores but I bought mine new on eBay for about £15 each. I bought 32D and 32DD to be on the safe side, and the 32D is too small… As the days go on and my boobs are dropping its only getting tighter lol. So don’t be afraid of underestimating your boobs!

I’ve ended up writing way more than I planned ? Hope it helps, good luck with your surgery x

Hello, I had 350cc HP unders 12 weeks ago. Like the girls above said when I first came around from my operation I wasn’t in a great deal of pain my chest was just unbelievably tight but when I woke up the next morning and the anaesthetic and pain killers had worn off I was in quite a bit of discomfort. I struggled for about 8/9 days and had to get extra pain relief from my doctors as I was having some really strong spasms in my left boob as the muscle tried to contract back into its original shape. I think its really important to remember that even if you are in pain and discomfort it doesn’t last forever, I felt practically back to normal by 10 days and now at 3 months I don’t have any problems other than sore over sensitive nipples!
My advice to anyone pre op would be accept that you are going to have a bit of pain – you are having quite a big op after all, be prepared with pain killers, heat packs, ice packs and pillows and don’t try and be super woman! Enjoy having a little break from our hectic lives, sit on the sofa and watch films and let other people help, don’t be so hard on yourself and rush your body to heal. It doesn’t last forever you will recover. xx

    Thank you girls!

Made me feel a lot better, think most of my worries are because everyone I know has had overs.

Great advice for the sports bra as I had no idea which one to get for the best! Caitlin how do yours look with your small frame? I think another worry I have is they’re going to be huge and I’m gonna look like Dolly Parton ? Just wanted the most natural result I could get xx

Have you tried the rice test? 300ml of rice is the same as a 300cc implant, so it’ll give you an idea on sizes but implants do sit differently in everyone’s bodies so it’s only a rough idea!

Feel free to add me, I have a couple of photos on my profile from day one of surgery up til now 🙂 in the beginning they were wonky and looked horrific, just remember it takes 6 months at least for them to finally settle… this one is from this morning 🙂 they’re starting to even up a little. I don’t think they’re going to end up much bigger, but they’re rounding off nicely. I did want to go with 350cc but my surgeon says my breast width wasn’t wide enough for any more than 300!

Wow they amazing! I haven’t tried that I’ll give it a whirl see how it feels. Not long now! I’ll update with pictures when I’ve had mine…I feel so much better having talked to you the nurses and surgeons can advise but I always think it’s better when it’s coming from someone that’s been through it.

Sent you a request 🙂 xx
