Advice Preston Hospital – Op tomorrow!!

Ladies who’ve been to Preston,

Do you get your own room while you wait and can the boyf join you? Also can we bring snacks for him to eat. Is there WIFI available so he can work while he waits?

Also will I get marked up in a different room. Want to have a final chat with my surgeon and don’t really want the boyf listening to all the details as I think it might freak him out.

Lastly, is there parking near by and will I need change?

Any help greatly appreciated!!

Parking is free, it doesn’t look like a proper hospital think care home.

You get a room where he can sit with you until you go onto theatre and then he will be taken to the family room until you’ve come round.

The surgeon will just walk in at any point to take pics and draw on you so chances are your boyfriend will be in the room with you at that point.

The nurses just gave me the wifi code for free x

Your not meant to eat your own food in the hospital but I doubt something discreet will cause any drama especially if there’s a big wait x

The hospital is lovely! you’re only allowed one person in your room at a time but my boyfriend came in with my mum and they didnt say anything which was good. They are all so nice there you’ll be in great hands. You get marked up in the same room but your boyfriend can always leave, I didnt get the wifi but it said there was a charge for it so i didnt ask x
