Advice/reassurance please!

Hi everyone
I have my initial consultation tomorrow and just have a few questions for people if anyone would mind helping out! I’ve wanted my nose doing for years now and finally took the plunge and contacted MYA after an emotional conversation with family about my lack of self esteem and confidence due to this and although I’m ecstatic at the thought of being happy with my nose at the end of this, I have my worries about the result… I have quite a large hump and the tip is quite low so I want that sorting but I’m worried of ending up with a miss piggy nose; did you find your tip dropped if it was high when you got your cast off and did it change noticeably a lot during the following weeks/months? And are you happy with the result? I’m frightened I’ll go through this and end up with an awful artificial-looking nose even though I’m sure I can’t hate it as much as I hate it now!
Is your new nose as you wanted/expected it to be?
Were you a bit of an emotional roller coaster throughout the whole thing? I’ve barely even started he journey and my emotions are all over the place! Excited, terrified & apprehensive all rolled into one, think I’m just adjusting to the thought that this is happening ??

Hiya, I had my rhinoplasty 2 years ago now with Mya and it was the best thing I could have possibly done!!! I contemplated for years, if it’s something that you feel insecure about then 100% go for it.
I had an open rhinoplasty with Dr gonschoir, I don’t think he works alongside Mya any longer
I must admit after having my splint/cast taken of my nose was extremely swollen and I did look like miss piggy but it reduced dramatically with In only a few weeks!! Hope this helps, feel free to ask any questions x

Aww thank you Sarah, that’s really good to hear. It’s something I’ve wanted for years and it’s just a bit surreal it’s happening now! All booked in for open rhino in May with dr andrea and really happy with mya so far. Thanks again xx

Hi Hanya, how exciting! My consultations etc are at newcastle then my op is in Preston on the 10th, how about you? I wish it was sooner but was the only time I could get 2 weeks off work 🙁 hope the next couple of months fly over xx

Oooh awesome! Getting it done in London 🙂 ikr! Same, had to wait until my uni exams were over. I’m sure if we distract ourselves our time will soon come 😛 xx

Ahh cool ? I know, I’ll be keeping myself busy until then! Got really excited this morning cos I’ve got it on my countdown app and I’m into double figure days now haha – 99 days! How sad lmao I’m so excited though ?? xx
