Advise please – worried

Had my plasters off on thurs an am now 17days post op. My insicions are stinging and one is weeping like an orange fluid not a lot id say half a teaspoon in a day – I’ve been putting wound dressing between the incision And my bra to stop rubbing an when I take them off one sticks slightly :/ do I shower do I not do I clean it? Worries it could be infected as I feel ill aswell like headache and temp x

Have u called the nurse? I had the same issue last week. Sent her a pic she said can’t really tell if infected so went to see the nurse in the clinic who told me it’s the body working on healing the wounds etc. it looked really bad tho all yellow and disgusting. She put a new dressing on which I wore for 5 days and took off yesterday. Looks better now, still sore, but no weeping. Might be best to rung nurse and get it checked. She said if it is really red around the incision etc then it may be infected xx

I’s say not to worry but better safe than sorry, and the temperature is not a good sign. See a nurse or a GP asap.
