Advised today I don't need implant with uplift – need advice!!

Today I had my surgeon appointment. He looked at my breasts and advised me his honest opinion was not to have surgery as he did not feel I needed it. My breasts dropped a little due to having my son 2yrs ago but I am still a 34C. It’s the dropping that has bothered me and also I feel my areola is bigger than I want. After explaining why I had no confidence because of them we agreed on an uplift and resizing of my areola. He was a lovely lovely man and comforted me when I got emotional. Ive never wanted to have huge boobs im only 5ft3 & 7 1/2 stone so I like the size I am but I’m not worried incase my results aren’t near as good as they would be with an implant in. Has anyone been in the same position or have any advice? My head is doing overtime! X

Hey hun if you don’t need an uplift with implant it
means you obviously have enough breast tissue to secure a voluminous pert look. So your boobs but perkier.

You say that it’s not your size that bothers you so I think you have pretty much identified that it’s just your areolas and the little drop both of which can be rectified by the uplift/nipple lift.

I’d say unless you want to go up 2-3 cup sizes (the minimal with implants) then try not to worry about how the outcome would be with implants because they would be totally different and not fair to compare and you’ll end up tormenting yourself. Plus I’m sure there’ll be a difference in price with /without implants which may affect your decision or may not. You can always consult your pc for the prices.

I had a mini uplift with implants because I needed the volume and couldn’t have one without the other. Remember you can opt to see other surgeons for their advice or see the one you saw again to talk it through again.

Hey, by any chance is your surgeon Mr traynor? Im going with him but he is known for telling people they don’t actually need the surgery if thats what his opinion is. He has told my friend this before who was a small B cup and said her boobs were fine the way they were and she didn’t need the op, she still went ahead and had implants cause its what she wanted. I guess its nice to have his professional opinion but if you feel like implants would give you the look you would like to achieve I say go with what you want xxx

Yeah it’s Mr Traynor. I just don’t know how I feel. He’s the professional I know nothing about it really. I don’t want to go bigger really I mean if I was to go 2cup sizes bigger they would be too big. That’s the smallest implant isn’t it? I’ve been googling loads of breast uplift photos I just hope they turn out fine. Xxx

If you lift your boob up to where it would be after a lift are you happy with the size? If so then you should be fine with just the lift just to give yourself the volume that you’ve lost at the top. I’ve just had an uplift but definitely needed implants too as I had no volume at all but everyone is so different. Have you looked at the real self website? When I was considering my op I spent ages going through the pics on there to find people with the same ‘before’ boobs as me to try and judge what my results might look like!! Xx

Maybe you should go and see a different surgeon just to get another persons view. I saw three surgeons all were great I just wanted to make sure I got good sound advice. It may do you good as you dont actually sound as if you are entirely confident on just what you want at the moment. Did you try a bra on with implants to see the affect? x

@Sabrina I don’t think id be able to get seen before my surgery date as its already booked and paid for. Did all surgeons give you the same advice? no I wasn’t given the chance to try any bras with implants on at my appointment. I think I’ve just randomly gotten boob greed even though I never wanted to upsize my boobs in the first place. He said if I was to have an implant it would up my size by 2cups which is not what I want. @Katie I think my size is alright ive never thought any different really until now and I really don’t know why. I guess its just a big decision and big step to take. I just wanted them back perky and able to wear what I want without having to constantly wear a bra and try hide it ha! what size did you go from? xxx

It sounds like yourl be happy with your uplift then as you know what you were like before and it was enough for you. 🙂 .. I reckon reading and looking on here makes you think more haha .. at least you wont have half the pain and will have lovely results .. not long to go till the 6th. I cant wait to wear what i want with no bra.. this was my main reason for getting .. mine were ok perky wise just 34a/b was not big enough for me and I want to wear clothes with no bra and no back and fill them out x

Yeah I definitely agree! I might have to come off here I keep changing my mind for no reason what so ever seeing everyone getting different procedures to me ha. How long were you in pain for after? Like when were you able to lie down without any pain? I’m trying to organise getting my lashes put back on but I don’t know when I’ll be pain free! Xxxx
