The asda ones are always out online but worth visiting your store. That’s how I found mine. They are really good at such a cheap price. I never tried the matalan one but can highly recommend the m&s front zip up ones. I’m 10 weeks post op and still wear it most days lol xx

@kellybarmby94 I bought an M&S one and an Asda one and found that both did rub my incisions – I found in the M&S zip up front one I was holding the bottom away from my skin when I was walking – it made me really sore and I wouldn’t recommend it at all! The Asda one wasn’t quite as bad but I didn’t feel like it gave me much support at all…
The best one that I found was the shock absorber ultimate run bra. It’s seamless on the part where your boobs go and only has a band of elastic on the bottom part. It’s so comfortable and offers a lot of support – which is what you need!
My mum had her boobs done too and she found that a Macom was great for sitting around the house in, especially in the early days. I would suggest getting a Macom and then as soon as you can get yourself shopping, go and get the shock absorber.
I had mine measured while I had my plasters etc still on. Couldn’t recommend it enough 🙂 and I couldn’t stress how sore the M&S one made me! xx

I got mine from Debenhams 🙂 It’s so comfortable, it fastens at the back like normal and then another clasp higher up between your shoulders.

    This is it:

I have seen a few girls recommend the M&S bra, hence why I bought mine but it really made me sore and I bought two slightly different styles!

I’ve actually just bought another one from ASOS today – but I’d suggest going to get measured for your first one because they come up slightly different sizing to your normal size. I measure a 32E in most bras but I’m a 34DD in the shock absorber xx

I wore macoms for the first fortnight and would highly recommend them – they’re the easiest option for straight after surgery as they stretch to whatever cup size you need. If you get a macom don’t go up a back size, because as soon as your swelling goes down it will be too big and uncomfortable. That happened to me so I ended up buying a couple of M&S extra high impact zip up sports bras at two weeks post op. I swearrrrr by those ones, I still sleep in them and wear them to the gym now at 5+ months post op! I can’t comment on the asda ones as the 32 backs don’t go up to a big enough back size. However I did get a clasp closing post surgery bra from asda and it was rubbish lol, not tight enough or supportive at all! Xx

Macom bras aren’t made of the best materials. I searched for other brands and I found one that is excellent and the price is OK too. The brand is called Lipoelastic and I was really happy with the product. The size charts are well-arranged, so it’s easy to find out your size. The size that I ordered fits me perfectly. Check them out at eshop.lipoelastic.co.uk

Hey everyone I’ve got my surgery in a couple of weeks. Just wondering if any of you post surgery ladies had to go up a back size on bras? I really don’t know if to buy my normal 34 or go up to 36 xx

    Menu

Hiya charlotte I’m a 34 I’ve been buying 36 dd I’ve brought two from asda so far I’m ordering a Malcolm one now but I am worried I’ve got 3 36 back and I’m a 34. How many bras did you ladies buy as I know I need a few xxx

Hi @tasha, Iv got loads I panicked bought as I didn’t know what size etc, I bought a few medium sized ones, a few large ones a 34c from Asda and a 34d from Asda. All of them have the Zips at the front of them and they have all been comfy.

If I was you I’d get a bigger back size than what you currently are now. I was a 32a so go 34’s and get at bras that are 2 and 3 cup sizes than what you currently are. I went for 325c to make me a C cup but I’m in 34d sports bra as the C bra was to tight. Take different sized bras with you to the hospital the nurse will tell you which one x

thank you so much katrinak, if I keep the tags on I suppose I can take them back, I got a 36 red Malcolm’s bra it says that all cup sizes will fit in having 400cc xxx

@tasharose1988 Probably far too late now but if you haven’t ordered a macom yet then don’t go up a back size! In all other bras you’ll need to for the first couple of weeks but macoms are really good for stretching to your size so it’s best to stick to your normal back size (especially with the cost of them!). I went up a back size for mine and after a week my swelling had mostly gone down and the band rubbed soooo badly and I couldn’t wear it anymore so ended up spending more money on more bras 🙁 xx

My last surgery I tried everywhere! I had loads from asda and m&s and matalan and vs and they were all so uncomfortable and this time I’ve gone for the ibra my Macom designed for bigger implants but they do the normal one and it’s so so so comfy!! I’m made up ? I only had my surgery yesterday but it’s the comfiest thing ever. But make sure you get a big enough back size I’m usually 30-32 and I got 34. When I tried it on I thought it was massive but after surgery being swollen it’s perfect and supports my boobs really well without digging into stitches 🙂 hoot everything goes well!!xxx

Although I’m only one day post op with my Macon and just read some other girls comments saying it will be uncomfortable after 2 weeks being big ? It’s perfect for now straight after surgery anyway I’m made up with it compared to last time I had to drag myself out in agony to find comfy bras and they were all awful 🙁 I even got 36 from m&s and that still rubbed! Not saying they’re the same for everybody 🙂 xxx
