I have seen a few negative posts about the aftercare with Mya and it put me off a bit when I booked my surgery with them. Anyway I went ahead hoping I wouldn’t need any aftercare.
I had my op in Preston with Mr Traynor on 16th dec. I cannot recommend him enough the man is brilliant at what he does.
I had 450 & 500 under the muscle. Up until I got there I thought I was having overs which is less painful so when he decided he was doing unders instead I started to get nervous.
Anyway the op was fine, and I was discharged 4 hours after and happy with my results.
I went for my post op a week later, bearing in mind you can’t shower or have a proper bath with the dressings on I was looking forward to being told I could finally be clean again!
The nurse had other ideas lol, she told me I had to wait another week, I was wrong in thinking it was only a week. So the following week I went back again to be told it wasn’t healing as it should and I had to go another week ??
It wasn’t until I was 3 weeks post op I was given the okay to have a shower.
3 days later I woke up and my left breast looked loads smaller and was leaking so I called the emergency nurse and sent her some pictures which she sent over to MR Traynor.
She called me back later that day and told me I had to go to Preston on 12th Jan and not to eat or drink in case he needed to operate.
I asked her what it could be and she said I had seroma.
I went to Preston yesterday and I had to have a re op. It wasn’t half as painful as the first time round and I’ve even managed to drive my partners automatic today!
Mr Traynor took my old implant out and cleaned the pocket then put a new implant in.
Throughout all of this the staff at the manchester clinic have been calling me to check I’m okay and replying to emails and telephone calls very quickly. The staff have been great and I cannot recommend Mya manchester and Mr Traynor enough!
I have just been unfortunate to get seroma but I cannot fault the aftercare I have received at all.
The only thing I’m not happy about is being 4 weeks post op today and still unable to have a shower ?? but that’s not Mya’s fault lol.
Sorry for the long post, just trying to explain what happened.
Thank you Mya x
