Aftercare

Can anybody tell me how often you are seen by your surgeon after your operation?

I know you see the nurse as many times as needed, but I understood that you saw your surgeon after too?

I was an overnight case and my surgeon came in to the hospital the morning after the op to have a quick check before I was discharged.
I’m 1 week po now, saw the nurse today and seeing my surgeon next Monday (so will nearly be 2 weeks po then). I think he just wants to check how they are looking etc but then I’m meant to go and see him again 6 weeks po. Don’t think I’m scheduled to meet him again after that but he told me that I am be able to see him again if I have any concerns or worries.

Generally it is a six week point surgeon check up, but i’m sure if there is anything you need to see him about you can ask to see him xxx

I had my 8 day check today with nurse and she said she will see me at 6 week check and surgeon at 12 week check x

I saw mine at 8weeks next appointment is at one year unless I need to see him ,iv got his card so can arrange to see him if I need to.x

I had a tummy tuck and was in for two nights, saw my surgeon at 4 months PO, and not heard anything since. My friend saw the surgeon at 3 months, 6 months and signed off by the surgeon after seeing her at 12 months…. I had my operation 13 months ago now. I think I will email them. Thanks again ladies xx
