Aftercare- an honest review

Hi ladies, so I’m now 3wpo and wanted to make a post about how I’ve found the aftercare at MYA. I originally went to Nottingham clinic and had Ria as my consultant. Since my op, my dealings with Nottingham and the team there have been fantastic. They have always got back to me promptly and the nurse there in particular has been very helpful. I was passed over to Chelmsford clinic this week (my parents who I stayed with post op live near Nottingham but I live near Brighton so Chelmsford is better for me long term.)

I called Chelmsford this morning to arrange my 6 week appointment and they could not get me in for any of the many dates I suggested, they did not call me back when they said they would and one reception had an attitude with me. In the end, I gave up and called the London clinic who were a lot more helpful and managed to fit me in.

Quite a frustrating experience considering I paid a lot for this but moral of the story- I think the communication/aftercare is very different depending which clinic you go to.

Hi Chloe, I am also at the Chelmsford clinic and they cancelled my 6week post opp and wasn’t helpful arranging a new date! I hope get this sorted soon!
The lady on the phone also told me I’m not allowed to wear certain bras for 3 months, have they told you this? Or can you wear whatever bras after 6 weeks?

Hi Chloe,i am At Nottingham clinic i had Laura as my PC and i had Ria once everybody is amazing in there i had troubles with my left breast and they organize everithing very Quick . I hightly recommend Nottingham clinic . Xx

Hi Chloe, I was told I could go back to normal bras after 6 weeks but I think it varies depending on who your surgeon is x
