Aftercare is shocking

Has anyone else had the poor aftercare that I have received?

I had Dr Singh at the Fitzroy back in June. I rang at the beginning of August to make my 3 month for September to be told that he has retired and they are trying to replace him they would put me on a waiting list and call me when sorted.

I didn’t hear anything for a month and my review date was fast approaching. I was told they were close to securing the replacement and I would be called. I rang again in October (4 months post op) and saying I was having discomfort and was told someone would call me back. Guess what… No one did!!

I went with mya for their reputation and after care and I have been extremely disappointed. Not sure what else I can do.

Any advice? X

Hi @louiset that is shocking, especially when they know you are having discomfort. This is the exact reason I chose NOT to go with mya. I have heard so many people speaking of poor aftercare, if I were you I would go back to the clinic and demand to see someone, or maybe consult your own gp and explain the situation see if there is anything they can do xxx

I would say just go into your clinic if your still in discomfort. what clinic were you in? xxx

Hi Cali, who did you go with? The people that recommended me obviously apparently didn’t have any issues which is good for them but sucks for me.

As you both suggest I will just have to go there. It is the Fitzroy in London which is really annoying cause if I had my review when I should have done I would still have been working in London.

I just don’t understand why I have to wait for a replacement when I could now see anyone as my surgoen retired x

Maybe you should go to your GP if you are in pain and they can help you. I wasn’t impressed with just my initial consultation and lack of contact just from that. Was no way I was going to trust them with my body!

Once I got it zilch still waiting for my photos n I’m nearly 4 month post op xxxx
