Hi, I have just had my first consultation and booked in to meet the surgeon next month. My boyfriend booked me in as a bit of a surprise so hadn’t really done much research so on returning home I decided to look through the reviews, it worries me that majority of the bad reviews go on to say how terrible the aftercare is and they wished they had used someone else for the procedure, I understand that there’s always going to be people who have bad experiences but this really worries me, is there anyone who has had this done recently who has been happy with the aftercare they have received?
Hi Laura , i am 3 weeks post op and i was unlucky to get a hematom on my left breast and they were amazing .They send me to Pallmall for check and however the schedule was full they took me first to sort me out. Xx
Hi I had my op on Friday. I have found the whole experience to be positive. Only niggles is a lot of the time I’ve chased them for appts for confirmations (pre op, post op nurse app) they haven’t rang me back when they said they would. But overall I felt less pressure in the process from their side as I find them relaxed but professional.
Majority of concerns/negativity I have found myself having is dwelling over is reading this forum because there is mixed opinions. I just tried to remember it’s mixed opinions and majority are either really happy or really negative. Try just searching for specific subjects for factual stuff e.d what to pack in your bag to take. It’s distracts from reading the negative bits!! X x
Hi Laura, i would try not to focus on negative reviews too much. Although i have an issue that is being sorted out i can honestly say that the aftercare from the clinic and surgeons has been excellent and despite the problems i have i am really glad that i went with mya. They have always answered my emails straight away and called back if i have left a message. I’m sure there is good and bad in every business, but they have been brilliant, try not to worry. xx
I’m 4 months post op and I found aftercare fantastic. Although I haven’t had any real issues (touch wood). My nurse has been fantastic and I know she will be there if I needed anything. I had a fantastic experience with mya. I think a lot of people want more from the pc. But really they’re just a sales person in my opinion and I think expectations of them are a little too high. They get you booked in but the nurse in aftercare is who you will be dealing with, and your surgeon is best for answering any questions pre op. The staff on op day were honestly the best. I arrived feeling pretty nervous and after 20 minutes of being there I really knew I was in the safest of hands. I honestly can’t thank mya enough for how this surgery has changed my whole image of myself. My surgeon gave me exactly what I wanted and I felt looked after and cared for every step of the way.
I agree negative reviews are hard to read and that’s why 4 months on I like to pop on here from time to time. People are farrr more likely to write negative reviews than positive ones. Most of us post op girls are off the forum now happily loving their new boobs. There will be good and bad experiences everywhere u go, but personally I couldn’t fault mya!
I’m almost 5 weeks post op. My experience have been brilliant! I had troubles with healing on one of my incision. Took nearly 4 weeks to heal. They saw me everything single week to check it and change the dressing. If i was worried about something, I would text my pc and within 10-20 minutes a nurse was in touch with me. I would recommend my suergon and mya to everyone!
When you look throught reviews, there is a lot more possitive ones than negative! So just keep that in mind! Good luck x
