alcohol 9 days post op

I’m having my ba on 16th December, will I be ok to drink Xmas day ? X

Should be okay hun as you will be off anti biotics after 7 days x

oh thats good to know, i thought it was two weeks after op and was thinking hell it is going to be a dry xmas for me lol

Oh dear!!! I didn’t even think!! I’ve been drinking wine since 2 days post op ooooops!!!

Ha ha in prob want a wine the same night. But will try wait at least a week 😉 having my last drinks tonight and got my op on 16th xx gonna try loose a few llbs over the next 10 days so won’t feel as bad after the op with the bloat x dreading the bloat. How long does it take for the bloat to go xx

My nurse is meant to be ringing me re this…I don’t really drink but got a meal booked on 23rd and they do gorge cocktails so I only want or two max so so hoping it will b ok! Got told though that alcohol affects healing?! Good idea about losing a few pounds now in prep for the bloat…I’m not looking forward to that eithe! X

Iv spoke to a few people who have drank up until 3 day before the op and then drank 5 days after. And been absolutely fine. It’s just it can take a little longer for brushing to go.. xx I’m having a mulled wine tonight xx when i had my last ba I drank a few days later x think it depends on how u feel. As yr anti biotics end after 7 days so I think 7 days post op should be fine x

My bloating lasted 3 weeks!! It drove me insane I honestly thought I got fat or something! I was researching like crazy and most people say within 2 weeks so was panicking ! Thankfully all gone after 3 weeks 🙂 so if you’re anything like me and still bloated 2 weeks PO, don’t panic lol xx

How long before you had a drink know leona. P’s dreading get the bloat xx got laxatives ready as few people have said take them to help xx

I don’t know what caused my bloat hun but I was going to the toilet regularly after 2 days post op! Maybe it’s from the swelling snd because my surgeon doesn’t use drains. I read that the excess fluid travels around yor body. It was gross!! I waited 2 weeks till I had a drink xx
