Alcohol after surgery

Hi girls,
I’ll be having my surgery about 6 weeks before I go to university.
As you all know, freshers week will be my first week there.
If it’s 6 weeks after surgery will I be able to drink(not in moderation)??

They say 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after usually (you need to make sure you’re off all meds before drinking) x

I’m 6 dpo still on antibiotics and DYING for a glass of wine as it’s been 5 weeks now. I was told 2 weeks earliest as alcohol impedes the healing process. Boooooo….. lol

6 weeks after you should be fine! Just be careful of them if you get drunk that you don’t hurt yourself & your new babies.

If I’m 6 weeks post opp but am careful, will I be okay to get drunk then? Just don’t want to miss out on freshers!!

I’m 3 weeks post op and got drunk last weekend! I dnt think it’s hindered my healing but my hangover was worse than usual. I’m sure at 6 weeks you’ll be fine x
