I can’t believe I’ve done it! My admission time was at 9.00 but didn’t end up going to theatre till about 2.30! I think this may have been because I asked for something to relax me which if your anxious i would definitely recommend! I wasn’t feeling any nerves after they game me this and I was so calm smiling away when they were wheeling me down to theatre Although I did feel very cold. I suffer from panic attacks usually so for me the diazepam was a miracle! I’m not going to lie when I woke up I was in a lot of pain I felt like I literally couldn’t move without being in severe pain but then I was very small to begin with so knew it would hurt quite a bit for me. The nurses , the man carrying out the anesthesia and Dr Singh were all so lovely, Could not fault them. I Didn’t leave the hospital until around 11.15 as I kept falling back to sleep and didnt think I could move because when the nurses tried to get me to sit up it hurt so much that I thought it can’t be right? maybe I’ll damage them!? But the nurses assured me it was fine and I got there in the end. I’m now at home feeling a little anxious about how im going to find the pain but I’m so happy ive done it! I will upload some photos soon, I found others experiences and photos really helpful! Good luck to all of you girls who are having your BA soon and enjoy the experience :)! Xxx

Hey, I’m having my BA next Friday and I was just wondering with the pain.. Aslong as you’ve been taking the painkillers on time, is the pain not too bad?
I’m worried about me getting panicky when im there too so glad you mentioned they gave you something to calm you so hopefully I can have that too!! Xxx
Ahh exciting kayleigh! What size you hoping to go to? Danielle to be honest i didn’t expect that sort of pain so at first it’s a bit of a shock! For me it was as if my muscles were being tightened as much as they can be and something’s squashing your chest down but I think it’s all about learning the best way to move yourself around which I’m learning already! I think you’ll be fine it’s just the immediate waking up trying to move and not having a clue how to. But I was very small to begin with so I knew it would hurt me more than others. You’ll be fine honestly. I feel fine this morn and as long as u sit in same position it doesn’t hurt its the moving around that’s the painful part. Yeah the diazapam was amazing for me! Seriously wasn’t nervous atall after that you will need to speak to the anesthesiast and he’ll decide what he thinks best for you. I enjoyed the experience looking back tbh just the pain at first was a shock but it’s getting easier already. You’ll be fine! Xxx
You will be fine I promise ! And that’s fine I’ll accept now x
