My admission time was 10am, I was in reception at 9.40am and a nurse took me straight to my room. After about half hour another nurse came in and took some details, had to do a pee sample but really struggled as I was dehydrated. I eventually peed and was told I was 3rd on the list to go down with Dr Fiumara.
The anaesthetic came down to chat with me and he was lovely! Explained everything to me and promised me I wouldn’t wake up during (I was petrified).
Not long after that, Dr Fiumara came down to chat with me and took pics and drew on me and said I’m after her next op and it should be an hour.
2 hours later a kind gentleman came to get me to take me to surgery… I was crapping myself to be honest Haha!
I then went into the operating room and there was about 5 people in there, all talking to me trying to get me to relax, they were all lovely. I was dreading the thing in my hand but it was a tiny scratch like everyone reassured me!! He put some liquid in my hand and I could feel my arm go cold and then the asked me if I wanted some oxygen and then I remember taking a deep breath in if that, then next thing I was waking up in recover by a really kind man.
Everyone here at Fitzroy are sooooooooo lovely! I was so scared and nervous about this experience but I’ve been made to feel so welcome.
When I got brought to my room my throat was a but sore and I couldn’t stop falling asleep, but it felt lovely 🙂 I was down in surgery for 2 hours as apparently Dr Fiumara is a perfectionist and likes to take her time. She ended up outlying the 275cc in as she said the 300’s wouldn’t of looked natural. ( didn’t know I was having 300 anyone as I was offered 250 or 275cc) I trust her and I’m sooooo happy with them so far. I feel like an elephant is sitting on my chest which is painful.
I had chicken and bacon sandwich for dinner – only ate half as I’m not hungry, I had a good sleep and now they’ve brought me tea and toast. Again, could only eat a little bit but tea was lush! I should be out of here between 9 and 10am.
Sorry for essay but hopefully someone as nervous as I was might find this helpful.. There is nothing to worry about!!! Xxxx
She ended up giving me 275*** not outlying haha
If there’s any questions please ask 🙂 I will upload pics later xx
Hope you don’t mind the add, looking to go about the same size :), xx
Hiya I’m so petrified of being put to sleep, I’ve never had an op, I think id have same size as you. Was recommended 300cc 3 years ago but bottled out, what size was you before I’m really flat litterally no tissue at all, can I see some pics of your results? It’s hard to find someone with the same stats as yourself xx
Yeah no probs il accept you now. I was 32aa so very flat, look at my pics, when are you giving your ba Emily? Xx
@lucylouise92 Hi Lucy, I’m so glad that all went well for you. It was very interesting to read your story. I’m having 250 or 275 cc moderate partials with Dr Fiumara on 25 April. Only 4 more weeks. Getting excited but also very worried. Does Dr Fiumara use strapping? Did you share the room with somebody else? Would love to see your pictures and I hope you don’t mind if I add you. Good luck with your recovery!
@lucylouise92 congratulations hun! 🙂 I love reading about people’s experiences, it does help me loads 🙂 esp considering i’m so nervous & mines on wednesday! Happy healing & hope you dont mind the add xx
Please can i add I’m a pear rshaped lady too xx
@sophiev hi Sophie, Dr Fiumara is sooooooo lovely! She doesn’t use strapping, she put a Macom strap on and covered the incisions. When she came to visit me in the evening she helped me put on a very loose and stretchy sports bra which I had. No I had my own room but there is a chance you could share. I will upload a pic that my mum took straight after I came down. I’ve been in too much pain today to take any more pics. Xxx
Thank you all very much 🙂 I will accept you all now xx
