I’m sat up in bed in Highgate feeling in a great mood. I was sooo ridiculously nervous beforehand (esp as I’d never had general anaesthetic before) but my hubby helped calm me and I was going down to theatre at around 10am. The staff here are lovely. Within 5 minutes of arriving in theatre I was fast asleep and when I woke up (having had a lovely dream) I was feeling great! I just wanted to chat to the nurses! It suddenly all felt real and I felt a great sense of relief. I have some ache in my chest – a bit like a muscle ache, but nothing too bad yet. I’ve had toast and just had a bowl of pasta. Hoping to be leaving by 4pm (I only live 10 minutes away which helps!). Mr Singh, who is such a nice man, told me it had all gone well and commented that the result looked a lot like the picture I had taken in with me (I recommend you all take in a picture of boobs you like girls!). Most of my boob area is strapped so I can’t see exactly how they look but they look a really good size to me! (and my nipples look the same which was a relief!). I’m hoping the pain won’t get much worse but we will see over the coming days! Highgate Hospital is amazing x
