anemia

i was diagnosed being anaemic 6 weeks ago,and I have been given iron tablets which I have been taking. will this effect my surgery which will be taking place in January?

Have you had your pre op assessment thing yet when they take your bloods? If not this is when they check your bloods and iron levels. I was anaemic a little while ago and after taking iron supplements I am ok now and my blood tests were fine. I just had my nose done on Monday 🙂 don’t worry about it I am sure you will be fine if you are taking your supplements. Try to eat lots of dark green veg like broccoli and eat red meat!

I’ve been slightly anaemic ever since I can remember and I’ve had several operations (not boobie related except 1). I think you will be just fine.
