Antibiotics help

How did everyone react to the antibiotics! Bit of a tablet freak and read every side effect going, and have a phobia of being sick… (Also still in absolute agony, can’t even cough or breathe properly!) so don’t really want to be sick 🙁

My nurse said I can start them today when I’m back home and settled but I’m really worried!

They made me feel sick but I wasn’t actually sick. Make sure u take them with food and u should be ok! I think everyone reacts differently though! Xx

I took all my pills after food and wasn’t sick once and didn’t feel ill! The only thing that made me sick was the GA xxxx

I took mine without food and never felt sick. I had a slight bout of diarrhea about 5 days in but I’ve had that with penicillin before.

I had bad stomach but realised it was because I took them on an empty stomach so I started taking them after food and was fine x

I had a reaction to mine so literally took two then didn’t take any more. Was told to stop and they didn’t feel an alternative was necessary as they are only a precaution x

I made sure i always took mine before I ate so they wudnt nake me feel sick.

I took one about 45 mins ago and I feel really sick… don’t know if it’s cos I’m over thinking it or what? 🙁 xx

amy, I get such a bad reaction to all medication, in the end I had to stop taking my antibiotics at 4 days post op, My nurse/pc told me that was fine as your body is pumped with the real stuff when your down getting them done anyway and the ones you take now is just a back up, so maybe ring up and ask if you can come off them? I took mine with food all the time still made me sick, dizzy, couldn’t even stand up! as soon as I stopped taking them I felt much better xx

and that was with both my ops x

thats what i’m like, my stomachs so sensitive with any tablet i take! i’m just worried about infection cos i’m in so much pain, i’ve not seen anyone else write about being in this much pain so i duno if its infection or not? i try take another later on and see how i feel but i only started them this morning, should of started yesterday once i got home !! xx

I was in a lot of pain and I even had overs, I wasn’t in pain with my boobs it was more my ribs and back, I couldn’t walk properly till 2 weeks and didn’t feel myself until 3 weeks post op so your not alone don’t worry, everyone is different when it comes to having ops! but I literally thought I was dying so don’t worry xx
