    Hi again!

Does anyone suffer from anxiety? I have an anxiety disorder and am currently seeing someone from Let’s Talk to try and get a handle on it. Does anyone have any tips for managing my anxiety in the run up and on the day of surgery (BA & TT). I don’t want my anxiety to talk me out of something I really want to do but I’ve already started thinking about if I’ll come round from the op, if I’ll have complications after etc and I’m doing my own head in lol

I’ve suffered with anxiety for the last year it’s horrible! I got referred to chat to someone on the phone that really helped me out also I just try my hardest to think positively! I am terrible at worrying I have two kids so always worry about them and I’m booked for my op tomorrow I’m now really nervous but you have to keep telling yourself that everything will be ok and that once you’ve had your op you will have amazing boobs lol x

Thanks Megan! I’ve got two kids too, my anxiety has gotten worse since I became a mum – more to lose I suppose. I keep telling myself that I’ll have great boobs and finally my abs will be sorted after two pregnancies stretched them beyond repair! I do try to stay positive but I know the panic is going to rear it’s ugly head on op day. I just hope they knock me out quickly lol

I didn’t know I was suffering from anxiety and the week before the surgery I was suffocating…
I talked to a nurse and she told me how lucky I am to have its opportunity to improve my image and how much it will mean for my self esteem. She told me to only think positive. The next day I was fine.
So be positive and find someone to talk about it.
    Good luck

Anxiety is a horrible thing and really can bring you down….I nearly cancelled because I was so unwell through th anxiety. Like Annelis I could not breathe for weeks before and it was awful. Every worst case scenario went through my head. I have two kids two and worry after them really does kill you. Go see you doc…he may be able to suggest something to see you through. Hopefully let’s talk can help. The nurse on the day may beable to give you a diazepam or something to calm you. Good luck xxx

Hi Ladies, I have had an anxiety disorder for a few years, and take meds for the same. I find when things get on top of me I mediate. I know it sounds daft, I laughed too when people suggested it. Just takes you away for a little while. Even the silliest things could set me off!

On youtube there are some FAB audio clips, I usually listen to them at bedtime. Jody Whiteley on youtube is really good. Just try not to laugh at some of the things she says, I just let it wash over me and it really helps xxx
