I’m a Carer 🙂 am 9 weeks post op x
I am a student nurse , had my swabs Saturday I am just waiting for my results back but they said it’s highly likely I’ll have MRSA xx
Hey girls,
Sorry to jump on this post! I’ve brought my pre op a week earlier So now having it this Wednesday. That leaves 4 weeks until my op date, if I tested positive for mrsa would they still postpone my surgery even though it’s 4 weeks away from pre op or will they just see i went with treatment and if it came back all clear every time would my op still be able to go as planned? So worried if I have it and they straight up cancel my op as I can’t have it until April if that was the case! What’s your experiences with it been like? Xx
Hi guys
I see a few of you carers are post op now which is good. But sad to hear you other girlies that have tested postive! Did you guys test positivevthe fordt time or did you have to have treatment?
Chantelle i totally understand. I had my pre op 2nd dec so mines 4 weeks till my op. I dont really want to worry about this as my nursing home has had no one go into hospital and none of them have mrsa and im always washing my hands. Let me know how ot goes chantelle.
I should get my results in the next couple of days, my operation is in 2 weeks, I’m actually with transform so I’m not sure if they work differently to MYA but they said to me if I test positive I’ll be on treatment for 48hours then have to go back every 3 days for swabs before my op and they said they can get me sorted before my operation x
Hi katie i think MYA works the same. I had mine friday just cant wait for the reslt well really not hoping a phine call at all as they only call you if its positive lol. Xx
Fingers crossed for us both !! I’m the same I’m constantly watching my phone , let me know how you get on xx
