Anybody else’s PC useless?

I haven’t actually booked a surgery date yet but I’m already NOT impressed by my PC’s lack of communication. I’ve text numerous times & called aswell but it goes straight to answer phone & she never gets back to me!! It’s so frustrating as it’s not filling me with much confidence & it’s actually starting to put me off booking my surgery through MYA!! Last thing I’d want is being left and ignored if I have any questions leading up to & afterwards! (As I’m a big worrier ????) I expected more tbh especially for the price!!
Anyone else had this trouble?

sorry to hear you have had some trouble already. I wouldn’t say this about my PC she has been brilliant, however I haven’t had a great experience with the Lonodn clinic for my surgeon consultation. The first time I went they were running behind by 1 hour (which I didn’t mind because they sent a text early in the day to warn me) but the second time I went this week they said it was a 5 minute delay when I arrived (which turned out to be 40 mins) and then when I went to see the surgeon they hadn’t given her any of my records/previous notes so treated it as an initial consultation when it wasn’t. So I get where your doing from… I am a worrier and it’s not s good sign when they don’t reply/don’t even look for your records (in my case) however my PC is really good and I think I will still go through MYA but for th surgeon really. Try and stay positive though they are super busy. Maybe see if you could have another PC if things don’t improve? Cxx

I have to say once you have had your surgery you don’t have any contact with PC you just deal with the nurses who are brilliant! Although i have Naomi as my PC and she always reply’s to my emails if you get stuck you can always call reception and they help you out x

Hey, sorry to hear your not having a good experience, I’m at the London clinic and right from the beginning I have had outstanding care, my PC is called Danielle and she is amazing! Always gets back to me and has really helped with everything I have asked, all my apppintments have run on time near enough, maybe 10 – 15 mins behind but that’s all. Unfortunately it’s like anywhere you gonwether it’s doctors, hospital etc you get good and bad experiences because things happen to cause delay which has a knock on affect, it’s jjst bad luck that it seems to be the day you’ve been there possibly. Xx

@frankiejenkins Hey Hun, ah I’m glad you’ve got a good PC who replies, it must just be me haha! It’s so frustrating as I feel like I’m constantly texting/calling her but if she replied in the first place I wouldn’t need to! Oh no what a nightmare!! Did you have to then go back again for a surgeon one? See this is what I mean, the communication is not good so far! Just hoping it improves! Yes I did think that, how would I go about asking for a different PC? Would I need to speak to the clinic manager do you think? X

@jadeb yeah I have read that a lot too. Which would be fine & I wouldn’t mind if it had surgery haha. But I haven’t even got to that stage yet and already feel like I’m getting ignored which is not what you want when your a worrier and having surgery/spending all this money. I’ve just spoken to someone on reception and she was lovely, just a shame my PC isn’t there to help!! X

@lian4 heya Lian, thanks for the reply. Ah I’m glad your getting good care so far! Have you had your surgery? I definitely think I’ve got the bad side so far, I’m hoping things change as I would really like to go with Mya but this just puts me off. I wouldn’t even mind if it’s a reply a few days later but I literally have had nothing and I’ve pretty much text and called her for the last week daily….it’s so frustrating ha! X

Hi I feel the same!! Its so frustrating!! I’m so ready to pull out my operation if things don’t change by Monday I’ve decided to go else where! And it’s such a shame as I’m so excited but it’s just more stress! Xx

@holly1101 I’ve been doing that this afternoon ha. Just hard to know where to start looking really. Plus a lot charge for the consultation & then don’t include as much aftercare. Ahhh so stressful! X

Hey. I had the same issue as you well still do, my pc spoke to me all the time and answered all my questions up until I finally put a deposit down… I then had to send the same texts 4/5 times and she didn’t reply to any I ended up ringing mya asking if I could actually have my money back because my surgeon worked for another clinic anyway!! As soon as I mentioned this about 10 mins later my pc called me lol! Was really apologetic and reassuring she’d keep in touch, so I went ahead paid all my surgery off .. (I didn’t want to have to go through the process all over again & with timing etc) so I had faith lol! But unfortunately since I’ve paid it all off ive not heard anything I’ve text her 3 times I think and not heard anything.. x

@holly1101 I’ve read a lot of posts & reviews saying they do that & delete the negative reviews…very cheeky!

@siobhanbrook I have a consultation with them next week and my fingers are crossed all goes well and theyre abit more helpful! Who is your surgeon Hun? Exactly! It’s alot of money to be spending so I don’t want to be chasing people everytime I have a question!

@jay93x oh no! Sorry to hear your having trouble too! How bad is that? I’d be so annoyed tbh…it’s just frustrating when your putting so much trust & money into them, you’d expect more! I’ve literally text my PC and left answerphone messages all week..and I’ve heard absolutely nothing…in the end I rang the clinic and spoke to a lovely lady on reception, I think if I do stick with MYA I may have to ask for a new PC & hope they’re more helpful haha! If I had the chance to I’d swap and go else where, cus my surgeon works for another clinic anyway and it’s 1.5 cheaper lol. I’m paying more to get treated worse.. good luck whatever you do tho! Have you met a surgeon with mya yet? Xx

I’m booked in with dr tsekouras he’s so lovely!! He advised me what would be best for me etc and I was happy and he gave me a really good in depth consultation was with him a good hour or so! He was really friendly too which I was surprised at cus a lot of the surgeons are blunt and come across rude lol xx
