Hi girls, I’m 6 weeks 5 days post op. I have caught an infection in my both incisions, I am so gutted. I was upset before how I couldn’t get through to mya to get them to see me and I wrote a post on here as it was a week since I had the worry. A nurse called Lauren rang me and she has been absolutely fantastic. She saw me, swabbed the incisions, my body was rejecting my stiches, so holes not closing! She took the stiches out and cleaned the incisions and put iodine dressing on then covered them. I heard back 2 days later which confirmed I had an infection. They sent me a prescription out for antibiotics which I went and got from chemist and have started. I see Lauren again today and she changed dressings, cleaned them and swabbed them again. I’m seeing her again on Monday for dressing changes etc.
I’m just so gutted and upset that I have caught an infection. I’m scared they won’t heal now.
Lauren has been great, and has assured me but I still can’t help but worry.
has anyone else been in my situation?
