Anybody that had a day case?

I’m booked in for my surgery 25th Jan at the Fitzroy in London as a day case and i know they say to stay in a hotel near the hospital, but i would really rather just go home. Has anyone not bothered staying local to the hotel or do i definitely need to?xx

Hi hun, I came from Cardiff and didn’t really have much choice but to stay overnight at a hotel as im so far away from home. Everyone is different though, me and mum didn’t wanna pay overnight case lol.. I recommend you get a hotel only because it’s difficult moving round after the op. But everyone is different like I said, drpends where you live babe xxxxxx

Hi hun i live 3 hrs away from the hospital.. i went straight home.. and im glad i did.. i just took my v pillow and a blanket to get comfy for the journey xx

My ops in 2 weeks and I live 2 half hours away, I’m going home just going to tell them in stopping near by x

I live 3 hours away and went straight home. Actually took 5 hours because of traffic! Wasn’t bad though I was glad to be home xx

I went straight home too. I slept the whole journey back.. think I was still bit out of it. Xx

I went straight home, was meant to take 2 and a half hours on the way back but I think it ended up taking 4 because of the traffic in London. I told them I was going home and they were fine with it 🙂 xxx

Thanks girls! Probably just going to go straight home as i only live about 2 hours away xx
