Anyone been a day case ??

I’m booked in for 1pm just wondering how long I will be there for ??xx

I was booked in for 2pm but didnt leave till 9:45pm, Had my surgery at around 4:30 by 6:30 i was sat watching television after having a sleep but they had to do changeover of staff so i was in there a little longer because they were discharging a few girls. 🙂 @lou

My admission was 10am I went down at half 1 I was out of the fitzroy by half 5

I was 3rd that day but the 2nd op has complications so that’s why I didn’t go down until half 1

You can normally go 2-3 hours after your op once they can see you’ve eaten and been to the toilet. The anaesthetic made me really sick that was the worst part!

I’m a day case too and was wondering the same. What do we need to take with us too x

Thanks girls @tracy @lisa , I’ve never been under before so don’t know how I’m gonna respond to anaesthetic. Really good times tho not to bad at all. Hi Hayley I’m taking a V pillow to travel on train as a lot of girls have recommended it to me @Hayley

Oh I think you have to take your own dressing gown & slippers too if your a day case @Hayley

I had my op wed my admission was 1pm i had my op at 3pm was back in my room by 350 sat chatting with my friend at 410 (i also asked if i could leave there and then as i felt and looked great) the nurse offered me tea and toast ate that then was discharge at 7!!! It actually flew over for me i loved the whole day x

Thank you Sam 🙂 I’m so pleased you enjoyed your experience & it makes me feel a lot better. I’m excited now, were you in a lot of pain travelling home? I’m getting train back home the next day after my ba & I’ve been dreading it a little but you make it seem so easy lol xx

My admission time was 11am went down to theatre around 4:30 xx
