Anyone been given false hope by MYA?

So I have minor and I mean minor heart condition! Sounds big and scary but doesn’t Impact my life at all. Of course I had to tell MYA this and they said it should be ok. Just get ok from my dr etc so I paid my deposit and have a booked in date (30th March). But I’m still up in the air and reading some girlies’s stories on here of how MYA only let them know at the last minute that they couldn’t have surgery is making me really worry! Surely they wouldn’t let me book if they’re thinking I can’t have it done? And they’re also asking me to pay for surgery now but hearing people have had trouble with refunds scares me cause if I can’t have it done il be devastated and don’t want to have to chase my money back on top of it! Anyone been left wondering about surgery but had it all work out? Please say yes! Xx

MYA get in touch with your GP so I’m hoping he should say whether or not you should be ok for surgery. I hope it’ll be ok for you but I’m not sure on their regulations. I’m sure they won’t go ahead without speaking to your GP first. As long as he/she says everything is ok, I wouldn’t worry hun! xx

Most of the time it’s the GPs taking their time to reply – hope it all goes through for you xx

I had to have an ECG done a week before my op due to an irregular pulse when I went for my pre op check, Mya then got it sent to them on the few days before and the anaesthetist said she was happy and everything went ahead as planned. I found them really professional, just try and get it done well in advance and not the week before like me! X
